And when you BEANOS head up here we’ll blame use for everything…

What’s a BEANOS?

Beano is how some Irish drivers refer to English drivers.

Oh, thanks, that’s just Dandy. lol.

It’s nothing to do with comics.

Has anyone here read the rivers of blood speech?

Has anyone read it in its entirety?

Most people just say old EP was right, without knowing what was actually said or whether it was true.

Yes they do, especially ‘old timers’.

Yes i have read it fully.

A most interesting piece full of correct prophesy, very thought provoking, i recommend anyone to look it up and digest it.

Unfortunately for Powell he used some silly words and phrases that whilst being the norm in his former life, were horrible unacceptable terms even in those days to be used in Britain.

He scored an own goal there and handed his opponents the very weapons to beat him with, i believe it cost him the possible leadership of the party and ultimately the probable leadership of the country.

Unfortunately Powell was a realistic honest and thoroughly honourable man who made a grave error of judgement whilst telling the honest truth, he stood head and shoulders over the self seeking money grubbing career politicians we’ve had the misfortune to have foisted on us since.

We shan’t see his like again, i doubt half of the current bunch could spell honour or integrity let alone hope to rise to the meaning.

'‘A week or two ago I fell into conversation with a constituent, a middle-aged, quite ordinary working man employed in one of our nationalized industries. After a sentence or two about the weather, he suddenly said: ‘If I had the money to go, I wouldn’t stay in this country.’ I made some deprecatory reply, to the effect that even this Government wouldn’t last for ever; but he took no notice, and continued: ‘I have three children, all of them have been through grammar school and two of them married now, with family. I shan’t be satisfied till I have seen them settled overseas. In this country in fifteen or twenty years’ time the black man will have the whip hand over the white man.’

I can already hear the chorus of execration. How dare I say such a horrible thing? How dare I stir up trouble and inflame feelings by repeating such a conversation? The answer is that I do not have the right not to do so. Here is a decent, ordinary fellow Englishman, who in broad daylight in my own town says to me, his Member of Parliament, that this country will not be worth living in for his children. I simply do not have the right to shrug my shoulders and think about something else. What he is saying, thousands and hundreds of thousands are saying and thinking - not throughout Great Britain, perhaps, but in the areas that are already undergoing the total transformation to which there is no parallel in a thousand years of English history.‘’

How so very very tragically true

some other countries have some very sensible laws.
migrant workers, must not take up more than 10% of all employees.
but this is the UK, indigenous people must not consist of more than 10% of the workforce.

send the eastern europeans home give their jobs back to the uk work force after all they live 15 people to one house send all their money home claim all of the benefits rip us all off

There is a lot more, and it was disproved about the poor little old lady with the 7 bedroomed house!

I am getting confused here. One of yous writes that they get money for doing nothing and are given houses for free, then you write that they steal your jobs and live 15 people to one house.

Are they all stupid? Who would like to steal someone’s job and live 15 in one house if he could have money for nothing and house for free?

I am trying to follow, but a logic here seems to be flawed…

Australia is one of them that does this, but it’s a different %age than quoted.
i don’t know what makes you think the vatican would do this. they employ ex ■■■■ youth, as its’ leader, and they employ swiss guards as security.

it shouldn’t be too long now before we can stop blaming everything on the east europeans.
it’s always been the same. the blacks came over in the 50’s, so they got the blame.
then the asians came, so they got the blame.
then europe opened up, so they all got the blame.

but just wait for the next one. “Scotland will be completely independent”
so if any jocks are working in england, we can start blaming them.

The only blame is that which should be laid at the door of successive British governments and their persistent failure to control immigration.

From a man who’s an immigrant in Spain :unamused:

Please explain how this is true? Not the statement of conversation but the subject within

How was this “disproved” and how much more of his speech has subsequently turned out to be correct?

Most of it, if not all.

I have no problem with people coming over here and doing work(legal work)
What I have a problem with is the “home grown” scroungers that DON’T want to work, and are happy to sit and watch jerramy Kyle (or appear on it) or there 2-3 holidays a year when honest workers are just struggling by !

Yeah right. And take all british back to the UK from all over Europe we do not want them there either they take our jobs too…

Wake up & smell the java people, things are the way they are because we, the voter, have let it get this way. We have put into power a group of people who have had no experience of what we would call normal work. Politicians used to go into politics after a career, now it is a career. They have shown themselves on many occasions to be unfit for public office yet we still put them in. If we committed half the things they get up to we would be fired on the spot or jailed, these self regulators move sideways only to pop up in another job later. The ones at the bottom are busy lining pockets and the top ones are too busy looking for the “legacy” they will leave.
No foreigners will leave while they are looked after. Fact. We can look forward to higher fuel prices. Fact. This countries people will continue to be bent over and done dry. Fact. The sooner this country wakes up from its booze/ drug induced lethargy the better.

As above !
