That little ‘game’ wasn’t any of the Stobarts drivers (not that I knew about, anyway) and it wasn’t me either!!
Although I might have used my SFOR badge to avoid paying tolls (through Croatia) when I was going back to visit my then girlfriend (an interpreter), the current ‘Mrs Tandy’.
Its just unfortunate Stobart got involved he has upset far too many good hauliers to have any respect from the industry but every firm has some good & bad drivers ,managers & owners. Well done those who supported our services.

think we did a few loads direct to camp bondsteel, but nobody pays enough to go dodging bullets and RPGs when there’s plenty of other calmer destinations IMHO
I used to go to Split and Sipovo, but mainly Pristina.
I am not going to defend Stobarts business practices, because that was something that was beyond my control.
I also will not defend every Stobart driver, I will admit that I could not stand some of my new colleagues, but I already knew most of the JSL drivers anyway and I did become friends with a lot of the Stobart drivers who I worked with.
The reasons for people getting irate with Stobarts are many, some justified,some not.I was there to earn money which was exactly what I did.

OK in fairness nowadays probably in more danger round some UK towns.

To Sarajevo is dependant on what border I am told to use for Croatia, but as a rule left to myself I go -
Frankfurt - Passau - Graz - Spielfeld - Maribor - Zagreb - Slovenski Brod - Brodinski Brod - Sarajevo.
There is a motorway stretch about 15 miles from Sarajevo for about 10 miles costs 2 euros cash only.

Can I just point out that some of the old & bold within this industry can be ■■■■■ aswell I came to work for lee durrose & the 1st wagon I had was cyrils after his attempt at redecorating (it had an acquired smell) lol most of the guys you mentioned were good lads…
But that didn’t stop certain people being ■■■■■ apparently I had no experience because I was young (30) yet I came to stobart from 4 years living in Ireland & doing fish & hanging into Europe.
In my time there I listened to the lads worth listening too & ignored the rest I did my job so I got paid (when Gerry wasn’t being a tight arse lol)
