The definition of Green Cross Code v Boris Johnson.
Which one does any sensible pedestrian believe.
That’s even before the undertaking cyclist just as you think it’s ok to make the turn after the pedestrian has gone
Cyclists- lets just do what the powers that be want. They want us to give them room- fine- I’ll drive 10 mph then. So when I can’t get my jobs done or get to where I need to be on time, that’s the reason why.
On London buses years ago, I just ran late because of central London cyclists. I still got paid regardless of me not finishing all my journeys. Not my problem.

The powers that be want to find as many imaginative ways as possible to force as many trucks and cars as possible off the roads.
If you don’t get your jobs done the boss doesn’t get paid for that day but the fixed overheads are still there.
Then they’ll find as many ways as possible to make up the lost tax revenue.
Think of all that compensation your family will get, although a funeral expense coming out of it, will probably knacker your kid siblings going to disneyland out of the proceeds…
The moral of the story here is:
“Never be worth more dead than alive, especially to your loved ones.”
Prepare for increasing volumes of “CycleRage” on our roads…
I’d post a few videos, but they all contain profanity galore, so I’ll leave to you look up your own…
In particular of interest is the way that Cyclists are quick to criticize both car and commercial vehicle users, but hate it when criticized by pedestrians who, of course - now have priority over THEM…
Both Cyclists and Pedestrians of course - still enjoy the total anonymity that comes as a result of “no ID required to be a danger to the public in public.”
A great opportunity has been missed during this lockdown imo:
Instead of “Compulsory Jabs” - why not have had “Compusory ID carrying” after Curfew? - There would be a lot less crime and irresponsible actions if those actions were both captured on camera, and you then had to produce ID or be arrested at the scene…!

No you don’t.
Yes you do or if your identity can’t be established you will be arrested.
Not sure about you but I’m not on first name terms with my local constabulary

just asked my wife’s niece who’s a rozzer about this, her answer, it doesn’t matter if it caught on camera or not if a police officer asks if you can identify yourself then you must comply, if you cant identify yourself then you will probably be arrested and taken to a custody suite until your identity can be confirmed.

You don’t need ID to identify yourself. I can remember my own name and recall it at will without having to look it up!

And if a copper isn’t satisfied with who you say you are, grounds for arrest still exist.

You do NOT need ID to establish your identity. Being willing to provide your details will be enough if your details are not sketchy or the copper’s an idiot.
As far as having to identify yourself is concerned it depends on the circumstances, under sections 163 and 164 of the road traffic act you are legally required to produce your driving licence if asked to be a police constable, also if there are grounds to believe that you’ve committed a motoring offence you can be requested to supply your name and address and the name and address of the vehicle owner and failure to do so is an offence.
Other than that there is no law that says you have to identify yourself when asked to by a police officer, if they have reasonable grounds to believe you’ve committing a criminal offence they can detain you or they can arrest you but they cannot legally arrest you just for refusing to identify yourself.
At-least two of the replies to this topic clearly show that the last person you should ever ask about the law are coppers, they will often claim to have authority they do not have because they’ve been trained to believe they are superior to us ordinary law abiding folk.
Instead of arguing about it how about pointing to the legislation, other than the road traffic act which only applies to drivers, that says you must identify yourself when asked to by copper

the officer points out an offence he / she suspects you have
committed. However, not providing your details may lead to you
being detained for longer.”

Monkey`s later posts left out the suspicion part, but his earlier post did make that point.
