Knocking on doors really dose work

As said, looks like a good opportunity. All the best with it.

Bloke at our place chapped on the gaffer’s door and slapped a CV on his desk about 12 months ago. Started lugging gas cylinders around not long after. He’s now going through the transition on to mini-bulkers, and the pay rise that goes with it. If you want something, you’ve got to go for it.

I’ve had some very good jobs in my time, just been lucky is all, all my good jobs have been landed by either knocking on the door or i’ve been recommended, or both.

Only ever landed one job following an advert sometime in the 80’s and that was probably the worse job i ever had and was off again within three months, ironically the company proved to be childish and after i put me notice in no one in the office would speak to me, seriously you’d think it was a kids playground tiff :unamused: , that only confirmed my buggering off was the right action.

I too am impressed with the TM who had the sense to have a look at someone who had the nous to knock on his door, and not like some appear to expect employers to search him out.

Glad you’re enjoying the job mate, take your time don’t rush about, if you’re enjoying the job too that’s just tickety boo :sunglasses:
