Well, have you ever heard of one who has earned an honest living? A diddycoy would sooner have a stolen shilling than an honestly earned Pound, as the old expression has it, and it’s true.
I really have no idea why TruckNet feels the need to defend these people to the lengths that they do, especially since the Admins are themselves truck drivers or ex-truck drivers and therefore presumably have had the same experiences as the rest of us do. Even the banned “P word” itself does not refer to a race, creed or colour, or even the place in which they dwell, it simply refers to people who earn their crust through theft and tarmacking pensioners’ drives for £8000.

yes. without a problem. i aint sticking up for anyone. just dont see why everyone considers “them lot” to be lower than low and that they are on a stealing spree from birth. ive had derv taken once by another english driver. he drained me tank of about 80litres. a week later the same wagon and i presume driver by his reaction parked up for the night beside me. im not in the wagon but started early the next morning. heres me chance. do i rag him out of the bed. do i damage his wagon. do i get me derv back…no…turned around and parked up in front of him screen to screen,really close…he wakes opens curtains and there i am. hello goodmorning. you like my derv there fella. he knows. im gunna do something now that will teach you a lesson now. now im not a big fella at all. so maybe he thinks he could take a hiding off me …thats not my style, im really gunna make him pay now…he’s sweating a bit…thats when i locked my cab and jumped in me transit and went home for the day. left him there blocked in for the full day.
The main roads were known as turnpikes and the “P” word derives from this name, well that’s what I once read anyway.

We’ve gone of topic now but ill add my 2 pence …
From the age of 16 to 25 I worked at a camping and leisure shop fitting tow bars and delivering Calor has , we had loads of dealings with the “traveling” community always stealing from the shop it was like a training ground for there young…
At 16 I was in the shop on my own 3 walk in ask how much a jockey wheel is £110 then tell me how much there going to pay for it £20 put the money on the side and walk out .
I once drove onto a site filled the tail lift with bottles lowered the lift went and knocked on the caravan door spoke to the lady , she ask me to look at her couplings walk back to the truck … All 12 bottles gone , loads of blokes and kids standing around watching me .
I have loads of story’s like this , having towbars fitted and not paying , threats , ambushing drivers on there sites …
I refused to deliver to them or even serve them in the shop in the later days … We can only go on personal experiences and mine is 90% of this community that I’ve come across are scum…

I have never had any diesel stolen by Gypsies , the only time I had any bother was by some gormless hippy sort
in Kent when parked at Detling Hill, he woke me up with his silly attempt, I shout , he ran off in the woods .
I do think some people have rather a stereo typical view of some subjects on here which date back to the
