Jumbilance ?

BigG-Unit:
We have , or did have one here on the Island, not the same set up though. Ours is just a big ambulance that takes patients from our little hospital, over to the mainland for Ops. they don’t do here. I went in it when I had my heart “event” a few years back and the crew were just great, very caring and attentive. it holds a couple of stretcher cases and about half a dozen wheelchair jobs. Haven’t noticed it about lately though so hope it hasn’t suffered from cut backs! I will endeavor to find out.

I can now report that we have still got our Jumbulance hear on the Island as on Aug.12th I had another Heart Attack and on the 15th found myself being loaded in it again for a trip to Portsmouth, where I had another Stent put in. It is five years since my first one, so wasn’t really expecting it, but I don’t think it was as severe as the first, and am now back home to start on the road to recovery ( I hope!) already taking short walks etc. I have to say the crew on the Jumbulance were as brilliant as ever, as were all the staff who cared and attended me. I doubt they will see this, but a Big (G) thank you anyway. :smiley:

Bloody-Hell !! Big G, Good job that ‘Jumbalance’ was still around on the I-o-W :smiley:

All the best mate, hope you are back in the game soon

Regards
Dave Penn;

Thank you for that Dave, yeah you are probably right about the Jumbulance 'cos they do sometimes lift patients by Helicopter and I don’t think I would have fancied that! Just a personal thing, as not at all keen on flying and at my age now I try to do without it, but then, if the chips are down!..well. :confused: Looking on the bright side though, all the re-hab stuff is familiar so should be a breeze! and I feel I should be able to get to pretty normal a lot sooner this time. (fingers crossed) :laughing:
