My missus works in a Job Centre, some of the tales she comes home with make you mad as hell or just despair.

‘Job Centres’ ceased to be such things yonks ago, they are welfare distribution points. The problem is now they are so geared up to dealing with dead heads that they no longer carry out their description.

Things are getting tougher for the scrotes though, which brings increased aggro to the JC staff. Many JC’s have full-time security staff (and this at a place that gives out ‘free’ money’!), and the police are called at the wifes office on a weekly basis. This unfortunately leaves some staff ill-equipped to deal with normal folk - having said that, some JC staff are (or have always been) downright rude anyway!

I spent a couple of days in hospital last week. There was a couple of lads in there that had been in accidents. I asked them what their jobs were whilst we were chatting, and I couldn’t believe my ears when they both said they hadn’t worked since they had left school. One was 21,the other 20. No wonder this country is in a mess. :unamused:

I didn’t think anyone not at work had accidents? :open_mouth:

It is getting slightly harder for them, a mate signed on and has to apply for five jobs a day online via the gateway/jc site and it all gets recorded. And I’ve she doesn’t apply for the set amount gets a bollocking/ questioned each week. Downside is it means u apply for jobs you aint qualified or experianced to do just to meet their qouta.

your wife sounds like one of the decent ones i have dealt with while phoning for info, its just a minority that spoil it for the majority as is allways the case wherever you go,i have seen the way some jobcentre staff are treated and its not nice,i think they should have security screens to protect them

You’re right about my missus mate! Not one complaint from a scrote in over 26 years and personal thanks from many a satisfied customer - bit of a rarity in her role.

Just to underline the standard of claimant (as has been correctly pointed out, now customers (!)) infesting itself on the wrong side of the desk, she previously dealt with Mick Philpott (career claimant who burnt six of his own kids to death) whilst in Derby many years ago. He sat there bouncing a toddler on his knee (not one of the poor souls who died) saying to him “this is what you’ll be doing when you’re grown-up” :open_mouth:

Some claimants, rather put out at the new rules that have been introduced recently (and nothing like as tough as those due in quite soon) have even said “if it’s getting like that, I’ll sign off then!”, as if it’s some sort of threat - that’s what you’re meant to do!!

Many scrotes don’t want ‘dead end’ jobs… despite not having a qualification of any sort to their name, or thinking that signing on is not ‘dead end’ enough ?! They also cite many reasons for not wanting a particular job, or attending a (free) training session, such as … childcare… need some one to look after my dog…I’m moving house… mum/baby/window cleaners poorly…it’s a bit early… the list is endless.

Unfortunately now large scale manufacturing and nationalised industries have gone, the labour pool that these unemployables once might have occupied, has now gone. Many school leavers are 2nd & 3rd generation scrotes and actually know no better…I try and console myself with the thought that at least some of these plebs won’t be out pinching stuff while ever the taxpayer give them Aldi tokens for nowt.

Duck wits the lot of them. They’re all ■■■■■■■■■■ You can get help with your cv from the learning and skills council. Learning direct all like that

Job centre aka Joke centre, I n the past times that i’ve been unemployed i have never found a job via them, totally useless, And the new rules(persecution of the poor) they the Con Dumbs are bringing in won’t make any difference as there are not enough jobs out there, and most of their customers are not qualified to do the jobs that maybe on offer either that or the employer wouldn’t want to employ them if they are middle aged 45-55yrs of age, and have been out of work for 5-10yrs they have little chance of gaining employment, when you consider that there will be another 10+ people chasing the same job ,some who maybe are working and are younger , employers aren’t supposed to discriminate but they do,
The area i live has no industry nothing unless you want to work in a shop or pub,or wipe OAP’s backsides in a care home so god help those unemployed around here

Maybe some need to stop doing the governments work for them, "divide and conquer " and boycott that news paper Daily FAIL !!! If you take a closer look at what group of people on benefits costs the tax payer the most you would see it’s the pensioners, not just the state pensions, but things such as winter fuel payments or cold winter payments, these are not means tested meaning that even millionaire peter string-fellow gets paid this even though he doesn’t want or need it, theres the truth ,so stop hating the unemployed and the disabled and sick, and above all stop believing everything that the government and the daily fail say as most of it is ■■■■■■■■■

Not sure if the JC still pay for a new suit and shoes for interviews. They told me you only get all that if you suceed in getting a job.
They used to pay travel expenses to an interview, the fuel costs or bus/train or taxi to a certain limit.
But only paid it if got the job.
They used a cheap furniture depot to buy cheap stuff while claiming benefits.
Free dental care, opticians test fees and glasses.Discounted gym and pool use at leisure centres. All that while on benefits.
Money off theatre/cinema and concert tickets and free prescriptions.
It did not pay to be in work.Free rent and council tax too.

Oh it paid to be in work (Jobs that paid a living wage) the min wage or just above ain’t worth getting out of bed for, and they wouldn’t get anyone to do them jobs if there were no WTC to subsidise the wages , So they would have to cut the number of workers or increase the wages to a realistic ammount ,You need a job that pays a living wage especially if you rent where you live and have to commute be that in your own car or public transport

Get on microsoft word and use the CV template, dont waste your time speaking to the useless JC

i got it sorted now chap, but thanks anyway i will bear it in mind if i run out of cvs or i need to update again

to GCR2ERF,us taxpayers cannot win can we,your wife dealt with that scum philpott and we are still paying for him while he resides in jail,he has lost his liberty and rightly so,but he should be made to work while he is there,[mind you he would probably faint at that word he considers dirty[ WORK]instead he probably has all the comforts he needs, and all paid for by people like you, your wife, and others like me,all wrong, but nothing will ever be done to change it,they have more rights than we do

^^^^^ WELL SAID…HEAR HEAR!!!
It is getting worse almost weekly…most(not all) believe they are ‘owed’ free handouts without lifting a finger. Why then do they all have latest mobile phone, £100+ trainers to go with their £3.99 jogging bottoms to go with their (on display) £30.00 boxer shorts - usually reserved for males & a £25.00 baseball cap that never leaves their head - even during interview or appointments at JC!!!

I think we’ve got a massive problem in this country.

Workers, any workers rule o.k.!!!

You assume that they have paid for them, how do you know they ain’t nicked them, or got them on credit , bought them with money from drugs ect, working on the side
or even got a interest free loan from the social fund that they re pay out of their £71 per week JSA , I suppose you think that is more than enough to live off each week, as well,
I have been on the dole and know quite a few others on it now, and none of us had/have a pot to ■■■■ in!!! and anyone who seriously buys the excrement the Con Dumbs and daily fail spout regarding how much those on the dole and those who are disabled cost the tax payer, if they stopped those benefits tomorrow ,do you think the amount of tax we pay would decrease? if you do then there is no hope for this country , and even if all those got jobs & paid taxes they still wouldn’t reduce taxes in any significant way if at all, its bovine
If you removed benefits some people (who you don’t know anything about) could die, and this would lead to the prisons being overcrowded and maybe civil unrest on a national scale that the authorities simply wouldn’t be able to control, do you really want this ? think how much taxes would increase to pay to rebuild ,and restore normality and start paying benefits again to stop it happening again, assuming the government survived intact
If this government are serious about cutting the number of un employed and finding them full time jobs they need to stem the flow of migrants coming here to work, and attract some big names to set up in the uk, get manufacturing going again , As it is this country is all but f***ed !!

Well Tommy I can sympathise with you as I did claim JSA when I was younger for about three months. However there are many many people where I live who haven’t worked nor intend to for years. My next door neighbour, lovely lady as it happens, but hasn’t worked for five years, all that time she’s getting her rent paid and council tax sorted (council property). She openly admits she doesn’t want to work!!

In my local Jobcentre you see them, unwashed, stinking, gobbing off, tatty old clothes, I mean who the ■■■■ would employ them! Again I feel for those made redundant, but it’s the others that get my goat.

On my estate there are hundreds of them, manky front gardens full of scarp cars on bricks etc etc, stink of old chip fat, greasy mouthy kids with no prospects. It’s a generational thing in a lot of cases. Now I know it’s not all claimants, but what do we do about all these people?

Al these people get all this stuff, widescreen TV’s, trainers etc as was said earlier. I’m a heterosexual, employed tax payer who pays his own way, with no kids. What is the government doing for the likes of me?

Nothing.

Honestly I don’t agree with a lot that our current govt is doing, particularly with foreign aid and our Forces, but if Labour get back in, all this will be encouraged again. Benefits for er, those who can’t be bothered.

It seems to me that it’s a fact of life that so matter what rules are there someone will always try to cheat in some way,For some of the long term unemployed it’s already too late , They will always be those who don’t want to work ,so matter what government do, But this government & the daily fail have stirred up a hate campain against the unemployed and those who are too sick or disabled, Had this group of people all been of a different race. they would of been guilty of racial hatred offences In short they have started a persuction of the poor and vunerable ,which has to stop
As for those who don’t want to work, the amount of this type will only increase if the only work that is available is dead end type work paying the min wage or less society indirectly is giving some justifiction in not working for the min wage ect
Sometimes it does not pay to be totally honest and hardworking ,
