Jack’s yir man, right enough!
I’d guess you were tipping at Dunne & Moore just past Bridgeton Cross. I used to go in there with tanks of Guinness or Harp Lager when I was with BRS.
We used to go in a narrow lane in Arcadia St, just off London Road, next to Glasgow Green. If I remember right we drove in, blind side reverse to tip, pull round to the left again and reverse out.
Were you with Bulwark, Norman? Yes Alex my old mate, I wrote a piece on suttonof St. Helens, when you read it you will know, I spent hours , days and sometimes nearly a week up at that place, Mario was the bloke in charge. Alloa. Edinburgh, Sunderland, Glasgow, Rutherglen, were places of Breweries, and depots where I delivered over 22years on Carlesberg in Scotland and all over uk. ta,ta Norman
Alex
After finishing with the middle east, I joined bulwalks, pulling for carlsberg, when they knew I was use to long distance, I was sent to Scotland almost twice a week to Dunne & Moore or to craig millar brewery, with tanker loads of Special Brew in 1978

Yes I did, first when they had just an office, then a yard by the floating-bridge, then at Totton’s Nutsey lane. The Manager was Bob Alford, and although he fired me more times than I can remember ( and took me back on the next day ) in my experience, he was one of the better managers.
I knew Mick Venscunis quite well, we use to stop in digs in Glasgiow, I’ve got an amusing story about him and the digs, but I’d better send it via a PM , I might get sued if I put it up here. !!!
Called in at Luton on many occassions between 1969 - 1977, but only for bunkering, never loaded out of there, always seemed helpful lads who worked in the yard.
