Is there not a point…

No, it looks like a footpath.

This…

Coming from a country that drives three fully loaded trailers coupled together, for 3 days in a row across a dustbowl

You might be surprised how much of the joint isn’t dusty. We now have a sealed road, circumnavigating the continent, except for the broken bit in the sparsely populated Kimberley. The busted bit was flood damaged, so no dust then.

Awww mate…

Don’t spoil my weekly TV show of ‘Big Hairy Armed Trucker Drives Through the Bush Saving Kittens and Fighting Fires Along the Way’.

  It’s all true, really, except they’re saving koalas, not kittens.
When I was in WA, delivering fuel to Pilbara and Kimberley destinations, dirt road miles were only 5~10% of my work.

That’s good…

Enough for me. Can I have your autograph and a selfie please?

Your welcome, but I think you’d be sadly dissapointed.
Try Dig or Spardo, those turd herders do more dirt miles than most.

Franglais:
Its a ".pl" site, so its Polski.
I managed to translate “Linschoten (Holandia)” into “Linschoten Nederlands” without using Google translate, but don`t expect a medal for that!

Thanks Frangers, the only foreign words I know are husserl met ja nexus de husser, she seems to say it with an accompanying scowl so it can’t be good.

Truck stuck on narrow cycle path
14.03.2021
On Friday morning, a truck driver probably got lost, took the wrong road and ended up on a blind cycle path in Linschoten (the Netherlands).
A foreign truck driver has probably had one of the worst days of his life, according to one roadside assistance company on its Twitter account. Getting the wrong road and entering a road with no way out is one of the worst, and most frightening, nightmares of any truck driver. What if you get lost on a narrow path surrounded by canals filled with water? And that’s unfortunately what happened. The vehicle followed the cycle path until it came to a small bend, which it could no longer negotiate. Fortunately, there was no damage, just moments of terror.
Our advice: always make sure you are on the right road, ask the locals, and if you have any doubts, stop, get out of the vehicle, observe and if you are not sure you will get there - eventually call the police and ask. Taking risks with a 40-tonne vehicle in many cases usually does not end well.

Wouldn’t particularly have liked to be the recovery vehicle driver.

Another one in Marske who didn’t think that perhaps getting out and checking might be a better option than just flooring it onto the beach!

Seems to be a popular pastime in that area

What, just Marske? Or that whole segment from Redcar onwards (who like to claim they live in North Yorkshire, not Cleveland  ) I have family in Saltburn, so I go there with some regularity (I’m not from Stockton but I’ve lived there for the past ten years)

I’d loved to of seen the recovery and how they managed it.
