I have the lucky position of having a very good job, good pay, I take home 550 pounds a week for 45 hours and if I work a rest day, I am on a grand for the week, I am home every night, I have a lovely wife, but I am hankering for a life of tramping again. I have tramped all over europe and loved it, I want to go back, what would you guys do, given the insecurity and the chance of ■■■■ wages, would you go for it, or be bored as ■■■■■ as I am now.

Yes, go for it if that’s what you want to do. There’s no point being the richest man in the graveyard. If you are bored at work then you won’t be happy. What’s the point of living an unhappy life, you only get one shot at life?
Having said that, I don’t know how long you’ve been away but European tramping jobs are as rare as hen’s teeth these days unless you are called Piotr or Stanislav.
