Can I ask you why you are not driving in the USA anymore?
Given the opportunity, I would be out of this country like a shot.
Work visa expiration.
The opportunity is up to you, you have to make the effort, considering the fact that for US, Canada and Australia you don’t have to pass IELTS, the British pound is powerful and you can pay all of your expenses etc. you have to try. Can you imagine the hassle, documents, money and effort a Eastern European needs to move/work/immigrate to the West. Now its easy thanks to EU.
I started a family in my home country and prefer to live and work in Western Europe then make all the hassle for US again.
Well, I’m considering Scotland, because I have friends there(they are British citizens, Bulgarian born).
I also want to work and live in Australia, like many Brits, we(wife and I) cover all the immigration requirements, but its very expensive and we can’t afford it, the permanent resident visa for each one of us is 3000+ euro+daughter+expenses…10 000euro.
My monthly paycheck in Bulgaria is absolute disgrace.

Go back to Bulgaria and do the HGV, I’m sure there you can do it on the flip of a coin in a week or two then come to the uk, you have the driving experience so you would walk into a job

I’m not stuck anywhere, thanks to my EU passport I can go anywhere(and I have been on 3 continents ), I have job that pays a jock, but I have it for health and pension benefits. I have Bachelors and Masters degrees as well…but in BG majority of educated people make no money.
Thank God of dollars savings

hi u will also need to compete a cpc course 35hrs in classroom as for the trucks m8 we run in europe 44tons on 5 axles no probs without silly 53ft trls usa canada yrs behind europe
Yes, I’ll complete dcpc and ADR as well. I wish I could get C+E straight from the start, but have to wait 1 year minimum.
I didn’t realise you had to wait before taking your C+E test I thought you could apply as soon as you have your C category.
they do in Bulgaria have to wait a year before going for c+e, there is also a minimum amount of hours training (driving) they have to do before they can put in for their test as well. To be honest we get it easier in this country compared to other European countries.
In one post you said had class 1 for 3 yrs and in another you said 7! Which is it? You gotta retake your class 1 if you move to Canada or the US so why not if you move to Europe?

Explain exactly what ‘effort’ would get a Brit a US Green Card or Oz work permit to drive a truck. As for Canada it’s just a matter of time before it goes back to being the same situation as the US in that regard at least for Brits.
That’s simple a Brit won’t get a card for the US and gets getting harder and harder for Canadian companies to employ foreign drivers due to the regulations and rules put in place over the last year.
Simply this…If your going back to Bulgaria from the USA, then your going to pay and do the class 2 licence first with the DCPC …then your class one… What driving you’ve done in the USA don’t mean sweet FA in Europe or in the UK…
Considering that you’ve stated that you have a class 1 US licence, then simply head up to Canada and get work…But out of interest how did you get a green card in the USA ?

There are other jobs then truck driving. If you want to move their is ways. As your countrymen if you want.

And where did I stated I had green card in first place?
P.S. On the side note, Bulgarians are allowed to apply for the green card lottery.
