Proof it’s not just at RDCs. The weighbridge/shovel driver at Hansons’ siding in Kidlington is well known for being “economical” with his work ethic. I rolled onto the weighbridge last week, he’s sat in the weighbridge office when he says “got to grease the shovel, haven’t had time.” Twenty minutes he faffed about. Not once did he grease anything, but spent ages pretending to change grease cartridges, only stopping to load when there were 5 or 6 lorries waiting. I feel sorry for the ODs there, having their earnings dictated by him. :imp:

Sounds like he is the one that needs “greasing up” then getting it up the wrong un.

He’s got a nice job there Suedehead; 6am until 3pm, someone else comes and unloads the train. He doesn’t even need to mix any materials, just load lorries and issue tickets. No cash handling so no travelling tarmac salesmen…
