For eg…One argument pro EU is the grants and the funding we will miss that they provide, but I think we’ll manage without that money, because we will no longer have to put in the Billions in order to obtain the Millions that they provide.
Just a little bit of FACT about money…
£350 million a week equates to roughly £18 billion a year which is what Leave campaign would have you believe we paid into the EU coffers…
The reaiity was we actually pay £8.6 billion per year into the EU…less than half that was claimed by Leave.
Now the interesting bit…for every 1% of GDP that we lose as a result of the referendum that is roughly £10 billion in lost tax revenue to the public ■■■■■…and over the last 5 quarters we have seen a confirmed loss of 0.9% of GDP…which is £9 billion in lost revenue…
So before we have even left the EU, it has cost us more than we will save by not paying in…so as that trend continues, we will continue to lose more than we save.
Where do you think the Government is going to look to make up that shortfall?
That 8.6 billion is the NET not gross We will be BETTER OFF outside of the EU, FACT

Only remainer maths could make, paying the EU billions of pounds more than we get back, for the privilege of importing billions of pounds worth more stuff than we export,an economic advantage to us.While what they do take from us is just mostly a case of them depleting our oil,gas and fish stocks.

It’s also the best case ( read unbelievable ) treacherous government’s own figures. So at best we get more jobs for warehouse staff handling more EU imports and more transfer of quality jobs to the EU.
While what we do get goes to more East Euro immigrant labour in addition to the loading on social costs of that added to by Merkel’s non EU immigration quotas. Then they call that an increase in GDP then hit us for even more ‘contributions’.So lower wage levels and yet more tax burden on the UK to be handed over to the EU zb pile and less money for the NHS.
When the fact is they don’t even believe their own bs when what they really want is for UK to be ruled by their preference of an EUSSR.Which in reality means being ruled by scumbags like Blair and Juncker and their puppet Corbyn.

There’s little in the way of FACTS floating about, merely propaganda, from both sides! We will see what we have when all the dust has settled and that’s what we will have to work with and I’m up for that or I would never have voted to leave.

The rebate is only approx £4 billion…making a gross contribution of approx £12.6 billion…still a lot less than Leave claimed.
Plus, consider that another 0.5% reduction in GDP will see the loss of revenue reach £13 billion…more than our gross contribution…and as the economy is slowing, that reduction in GDP is increasingly likely.
Whichever you want to try and spin it, the reality is that the vote to Leave has already cost us more than we are saving by leaving…and that is before we have actually left and while we are still getting grants and rebates!
Once we have actually left, and have to start paying the tariff’s imposed by our former trading partners (including the USA…don’t think for one second we will get an exemption from their Steel import tariff), the losses will simply increase.
And the only way for the Governement to recoup that lost tax revenue…is to raise taxes!

Strange how you seem so worried about a non existent and unproven GDP drop caused by the equally non existent so far Brexit. As opposed to the all too real drop in GDP caused by our EU membership in the form of the transfer of industry to the EU resulting in the equally all too real massive unsustainable trade deficit we have with it.As for economic growth figures which is what really determines tax revenues we went off a cliff after 1972 and stayed there when not falling through the floor. This line shows the reality of our EU membership so spare us the hard left bs,spin, lies and pravda like propaganda. When it’s obvious that you’re all about selling out your country and its people to get the Federal EUSSR rule over it that you’re really all about.

You’re talking to a dyed in the wool remainer Robbo, he thinks he can talk us out of the referendum RESULT!!!
I’m a left winger more than I’m a Remainer. I’m sympathetic to the criticisms of the EU institutions, but I’m still pro-European.
Clearly if Brexit becomes a lightning rod for working class nationalist and fascist thinking (which it has) then that is a far graver threat than any faults with the EU itself, because ultimately we will end up retreading the path that Europe went down in the 20s and 30s.
I really do wonder whether it will take another actual war before the working class learn it’s lessons again, and return to the post-war economic logic based on solid public services, social security and a policy of full employment, rather than the pre-war Tory logic in which there was an acceptance of poverty, unemployment, and squalid housing, and the impotence of the state to do anything about it, which meant you ultimately had guys who’d fought the first world war marching for food.
DonutUK:
Voted Remain last time…nothing I’ve seen or heard since has suggested that Brexit is going to be anything other than an absolute disaster for the UK.
All the Brexiters acting outraged because the EU won’t let us leave on terms that favour us and not them…did you really expect anything else? Did you really think that we were going to submit a list of our demands and the EU simply roll over and grant them?
Our kids future sold down the river by the xenophobic, the elderly and the gullible.
I think you believe too much of what Auntie Beeb says…grown adults expect compromise…nobody in this world gets everything they want, not even the President of the USA,ask Stormy! Brexiteers got the main thing they wanted, an OUT RESULT!!!
This sounds like you won some game and goal was to get result for the sake of result no matter what. Congratulations, you’ve made your nation poorer and less influential in the future, but you won…

There it is, the name calling, everyone who voted leave is a ■■■■. You’ve driven free thinking, free speech and with it real freedom into a corner with that rubbish down the years and can’t see the damage that has caused. If you want an example check out the rubbish in the Toys R Us/ Maplins thread to see what it degenerated into. Are you the Stasi in disguise?

What would we poor downtrodden masses do without our saviours such as Rjan?
Out .Sinse we have been in the EU this countries been whittled down to a service industry .
Many of my remain pals now want out after the threats off the EU lately.
Sorry but it needs to be disbanded and let us remain European but without the dictators ,who are getting it all so very wrong.
robbo99.:
Brexiteers predicting a bright future. Remoaners predicting Armageddon.
I don’t think it will be Armageddon, I just think it will affect us in many things in everyday life, nothing major, sending post to EU, sending goods, bringing goods from EU, small and big things which will make everyone’s life harder and more time consuming, more difficult for business, more expensive for consumers, and it’s not about any big national idea, EU dictatorship, as some call it, or anything else, just everyday life of ordinary people will be affected. Many leave voters will tell you about big things, taking back control and so on but then next day they will go to work or their business an do everyday things which have nothing to do with all these loud ideas, they will go to shop and wonder why things became more expensive, they will book holiday to EU and again wonder why is it so expensive, in the same time why salary is not growing ( because business owner will have to pay customs tariffs), this what should worry people not taking back some mystical control, maybe people should stop reading and watching some politicians and come back to reality.
That is a frightening headline. I wonder what it really means? The article gives no links to the figures quoted. The two highlighted links lead to Sun articles from 2012 and Feb 2018 that don`t seem too relevant to me?
"There is a stark contrast between Western and Eastern Europeans.
Nearly half the personal taxes paid by migrants from countries such as Romania, Bulgaria and Poland went straight back in tax credits and child benefit.
DWP figures were not broken down by country."
If the figures arent broken down by country, how did they work out the difference between East and West ? Quite possibly they can, but its not clear.
If East Euro workers are receiving more in benefits then why is that?
Arent Tax Credits and Housing Benefits both means tested? Only available to the poorly paid and out of work? Dont the poorest paid obviously pay less tax?
Isnt the headline figure a fair description of a group of people doing the bum jobs you and I wouldnt want?
If we have to subsidise poorly paid jobs through our taxes thats wrong, but thats a problem with the minimum wage isn`t it?

Either way things are getting much worse while we are in the EU with open borders imo.

We can take any so called ‘facts’ put up by the treacherous remain campaign with the same pinch of salt as Heath’s bs about us supposedly just joining a Common Market not a Federal Europe.
So even by the treasonous parliament’s own figures we add its unbelievable version of the net contribution figure to the EU trade deficit = ?.Which with Germany alone stands at more than $ 50 billion with us being their 3 rd most important export market and us not even being in their top ten for imports being behind Belgium.
The biggest collapse in UK GDP has been and continues to be owing to the transfer of industry from UK to Europe with an unsustainable trade deficit to match.
I see Carryfast has some new favourite words…‘treacherous’ and ‘treasonous’

IMHO the opening of borders by the Blair Gov was a mistake. It wasn`t part of any EU directive though, just a home grown ■■■■ up.
Leaving the EU may well change some things, including borders and immigration. The talks with our new trading partners will open new agreements of all sorts.
Maybe any new agreements with India will enable their citizens to have much easier access to our poorly paid jobs, housing benefits and tax credits?

The present economy is based on a pyramid system. If we havent got a high enough birth rate to sustain it, and our borders are going to be closed to Eu immigration its good to know that our new trading partners are willing to supply some fresh blood.

Your whole premise is based on the ridiculous idea that the immigrant population is only there to support the indigenous one.So exactly who is going to support the immigrant community’s dependent’s and old and sick in this scam you’re trying to impose on us.The fact is a falling population is an asset of less mouths to feed not a liability to the country.
While the truth is free movement is actually all about diluting the indigenous population with a foreign demographic to the point when that foreign demographic becomes the dominant ruling one and we become foreigners in our own country.
