As said before, find a job that suits as a package, as it takes up the bulk of your life. For me, I travel half hour to work, for the easiest job I’ve ever done. Good relationship with the planners, good money, excellent equipment. There’s a bit of London work involved which isn’t to everyone’s taste, but suits me. In my area the wages are between 5 and 10k less than I get, and not one job is as easy as mine. Hargreaves have took over pryors, which is 5 mins from my front door, and it’s very, very good money, but it’s a ■■■■ horrible job, doing site clearance for the environment agency to landfills. My mate has been on the same job for 3 weeks straight, 5 loads a day Slough to Gerrards Cross. And they have blokes tramping in day cab mercs with pull down couchettes

Well mine takes up the bulk of my awake hours, as I normally spend around 50 hrs a week awake whilst not working, and 55-60 at work
