Idiot Motorcyclist

He thinks hes riding the TT cutting the corner like that, maybe he forgot the road wasnt closed so he cant run wide on the exit .

We have all made mistakes in whatever mode of transport we use, not everyone riding a bike thinks they are Rossi.

And you never see some truck driver kill some poor bugger.
Half the Sobs cant even back into a trailer space.
The hypocrisy of you boys is beyond belief.
More dead folk because of some bloody amateur in charge of a truck than another amateur in charge of a bike
If you aint goods enough keep off the bike but so many diks drive trucks now.And most of the bloody Biker amateurs drive some crap truck.

On the first Sunday of the clocks going forward , THREE motorcyclists were killed in road traffic accidents in ■■■■■■■■

I have little sympathy for the mindless idiots who think they can treat our roads with no care for anyone else.

Unfortunately , the local Ambulance and Police officers have to gather-up the various bits scattered in the aftermath.

Cheers , cattle wagon man.

Not always bikers fault though.

I ride pretty much all year round, in the snow, wind and hail, and since the sun has come out it seems like I’m invisible to car drivers, just pulling out of streets and on roundabouts right infront of me, this doesn’t happen as much when the weather’s bad… Jealousy perhaps? I’ve no idea, but coming home from work today I had 4 cars pull out infront of me and at least 3 try and close filtering gaps when they were sat in queues, yet going TO work in the dark and people move to make extra room for me to go through…

Now, I’ve learnt the hard way to always assume the car driver is a homicidal maniac who wants to kill me, I did a defensive riding course (that I had to do to get insurance when I was a dispatch rider) and I’m pretty sure that’s why I’m still here to type this.

I’ve done track days in cars and on bikes and still speed in/on both on the road as do most other road users, so it doesn’t really get it out of your system like people say.

I currently own 2 bikes
1 is a Suzuki XF650 which is a dual purpose high up kind of bike and it really does get quite a bit of respect on the roads except when someone races it (and it loses  ), it’s ok from the line 0-60 is around the 5 - 6 second mark, but top speed is only around 90 and after 60 it takes a while to get there.
2 is a 24yr old Yamaha FZR 1000 Exup that is really quick, but due to the positioning on it, my visibility is nowhere near as good, looking over cars, over my shoulder, in my mirrors etc are all really difficult, so it probably takes longer to get to work than the slow bike, and you get a LOT of vehicles that try and race it :unamused:

And thats it !!! FFS.,Bet your going to do the TT next year .
The whole point in producing a 160-200 bhp bike is to use it.If you cant handle it or the consequences then stick with your harley.Go home to your wife and tell her you had a “wild” day.Leave real bikers to get on with it we do not need your bloody sympathy,if it goes ■■■■ up then so be it.

I don’t know if the laws have changed in recent times in the UK, but last time I was over, Motorbikes are flying about in all weathers with no lights on during the day, you just cannot see them. here in RSA which is basically a lawless society, especially where driving is concerned, Motor cycles / scooters have to have their high beam on during the day at all times, if they get caught without, the cops nail them, it makes a massive difference, you can see them from miles away.

It’s still legal on older bikes to travel without lights on but not many do to be honest. Newer bikes have DLR’s which I hate on all vehicles. They’d be better if they also put rear lights on

Hope his insurance company refused to pay out too , riding like a nob :unamused:

guessing that his insurance co. has seen the video by now.
seeing as he openly crossed double whites a few moments before the accident, what are the chances of them using this as an excuse not to payout, citing his “aggressive or dangerous” driving style.

Pretty much zero, I would have thought. Unless of course the policy has an exclusion clause that covers it. I know many policies exclude track days, most of them exclude racing, rallying etc but I can’t say I’ve ever seen one that excludes “driving like a ■■■■” - have you?

most have exclusions for “racing, competing or time trials” etc.
I wondered if possibly they may use that kind of argument.
It’s not known, for example, if the other two riders were friends of his and he was riding with them, which may give the opportunity for the insurers to claim he was racing.

Lucky scrape the one,Could of ended a lot worse. I to ride more so off road now and green lanes more because of other road users and the main fact my mrs made me sell the 600. The dont worry ill bring the kids up every time i put a lid on got to much. I think he will be doing a lot of thinking rrgarding his actions and future now im guessing police have nabbed him.

I know someone who knows him.

I’m told he’s had loads of advice/abuse since the incident…and I’m told he really is thinking about the consequences of his actions now…probably for the first time in his life.

I’ve ridden that road a fair few times back in the late 70s - early 80s on a Morini 350, which was slow but handled very well.

It was fun, but not really dangerous on a bike that couldn’t quite crack a ton.

Things have moved on a bit since then in every respect except one: and that’s rider skill.

I think the bike could have got round that corner at that speed, but the rider clearly couldn’t!

Is it not a general principle of motor insurance that if one was doing something illegal whilst driving and something happens then the insurers have no obligation to cover you (if they find out) or is it a matter of severity? (Genuine question there). I am pretty sure in blatant cases, e.g. a vehicle you know to be in a dangerous condition or willingly driving the wrong way down the motorway, your insurance would be invalidated. Is that not the case? Just wondering now how this particular event would be interpreted.

what a tool.
and he’s then published the sodding film showing him crossing the solid white lines twice ffs?
he must be ■■■■■■■ simple…

160 up the A49 is not a problem if you do it in the right place.
And what the eye doesnt see the heart doesnt grieve about.

As in all things there are those that can and those that wish they could.
I enjoy my motorcycle and touch wood I aint killed me or anybody else yet.

I had a truly terrible ride experience to work last week on the A418.

Here’s my humbling ‘Big Sorry’ to the oncoming, white Merc flatbed (?) if he’s on here: I was beyond my capability, pushing my luck & have defo learnt a major lesson to better suppress my latent stupidity

Bags of credit to him for not blasting me as I was obviously aware of his presence!

I’ve taken that on board for the next-time I’m confronted with a Near Death Cacking Muppet :unamused:
