I like my boss because

Tynecastle will be brilliant tomorrow night, can’t wait. Robbo’s pre-match…

Like Wheelnut says it’s timing . The load needs to get back to be sorted for mainland Europe .

Well that was a long shift, started 1915 and finished 2320. My boy is driving and we should get to my brother’s house a bit after 0200. Game on.

I do hope his bowels are better than your last co driver

Just a double man question;

A second driver can join with in one hour of start of duty…
but must remain until the end of duty.

Does that not apply to coffees/jimboys trip, e.g. they both have to return with the vehicle

No, our shift is less than 9 hours and has at most 8 hours driving so we are not running to multi manning rules. They would only apply if we did over 15 hours for the shift or over 10 hours driving.

All I will have to do I guess, if I want to be strictly legal, is make a manual entry to cover the fact I finished yesterday at Charnock and will start Friday’s shift in London Colney. That wasn’t an issue when I also did this two weeks ago as I started my Friday shift back in Charnock Richard. Can’t do that this time as my son has work to do at 0900 tomorrow and we are just heading straight back down as soon ad the game is over.

I have been waiting since yesterday for this question :stuck_out_tongue:

I also expected someone to ask how Neil could book off in Charnock Richard and start again in London Colney after all the furore in this thread.

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=63113&start=30&hilit=skills+coaches

Neil drove from London Colney to Charnock Richard and swapped trailers, he then left Jimbob on his own and he went to Scotland by car, he watched a football match and was then driven back home in a private car. And all that is perfectly legal. Meanwhile Jimbob returned to London Colney with Neils map and alone.

However if Neil does the same run alone and gets stuck in traffic, and manages to drive for 10h 12m it is illegal. If he gets delayed and his shift runs into his prescribed rest period, he is illegal.

If I do a 15 hour shift from Chartres back to my house, jump in the car and go straight down to Plymouth Speedway and back, all is in order  The daftest thing is as soon as I get back from Plymouth I can jump straight in the lorry and go back to France.

Stranger than Fiction!

More than likely but then I would miss out on the fun. Just parked the car in Gorgie, 5 minutes from the ground and heading to the Ardmillan for a pre-match tincture which will be followed by a visit to to chippy for a spicy haggis supper then into the ground early doors. I am not expecting any kind of result in our favour but it could be a lot worse. I could be a Hibby looking forward to a glamour tie against Berwick Rangers in the Diddy Cup while deciding between using my giro to get a ticket in a half empty stadium or feeding my smack habit.

I’ll give you that one Neil, I’ll be watching it at my pals house who is hearts daft, c’mon the JT’s

Wasn’t as bad as my worst fears, glad I cane and well worth the £200 odd the day cost me. On the A1 now heading for Berwick and looking forward to coming back up a week on Sunday for the Hibs game.
