So if you pass 60 hours work by 20 minutes as a one off will you have to:
A) sign an infringement notice from your employer that you have a working time directive infringement
B) your license will be immediately revoked pending a court appearance where you will be looking at 6 months in prison
Surely the whole raison d’être of POA is that it allows the driver to book “paid” time even though he’s not working…?
I would have thought so, but some idiots are going along with unpaid POA as far as I’ve heard (never actually met any though if I’m honest, so could be drivercrap)
I never use poa but regardless what breaks i do somedays might be 5 hours breaks they only deduct 45 mins thanx tacograph !!! I need to draw a line from when i start sunday till midnight each week then i can keep legal all this year only had 1 infringment 3 mins over my drive time for break motorway ■■■■ traffic
Darkside:
looking at your pad, if your fixed week is Sunday midnight onwards you are fine?
I agree.
It looks like you’ve done less than 46.5 hours working time since 00:00 Monday.
The 60 hours working time per week is 00:00 Monday to 24:00 Sunday, so depending on what breaks you had Monday morning you’ve probably got about 13 hours working time left this week.

bald bloke:
Yes POA can extend the length of your shift as it basically stops the clock so take advantage of it at every opportunity if you’re tight on time.
So does that mean, if I’m on 14hrs, 2 hrs on poa while getting tipped, I’ve still got 2hrs of a shift left■■? Happy days crack on, Whoosh gone .

Or put your card in slot 2 and you can book POA when driving

I answered the original ops question and I was the first to reply I think !!
I know, I’m guessing one of the mods tried to either merge the two threads or delete this one … and messed up.
You can’t get the staff these days can you
A check of the Moderator logs reveals that none of the Mods did a ‘split topic,’ so my guess is that either the software split it rather than creating a new page (I’ve never seen this before,) OR somebody clicked something other than Post a Reply.

POA allows you to go beyond the 60 hours weekly WTD limit, but it cannot extend your shift beyond the normal 13/15 hours (or more accurately, it doesn’t allow you to reduce your daily Rest to less than 9/11 hours).
