I dropped a pallet today

Fun and frolics aside its amazing how things change over the decades, back in the 90’s when I first started cockups where a daily occurence and as long as no children or kittens where injured they where normally dealt with by a quite word or an off the record bollocking.
If its possible to do anything the wrong way im your man.

Now a simple thing like a runaway pallet that could have injured/ killed folk/destroyed cities is an excuse for a massive drama if the wrong folk get wind of it. By wrong folk I mean any elf and safety bods who want to make a big deal of a near miss.
We even have RIDDOR (cba to look it up so hope thats the right letters). So peeps can get their rocks off imaging the devestation that could have been caused by human error.
Or in reality mankinds constant ability to flock up a new cee u next tuesday.(trying a censor dodge here).

Blame culture is only matched by ■■■ covering these days.

That said a runaway pallet event of this magnetude deserves a prison sentence…

ive had loads of pallets like that . too high too heavey poorly stacked poorly wrapped and on VERY thin and useless white pallets
experience over time means usually its a strip down job regardless
if there is a fork truck they can have the pleasure of taking it off if it goes over its down to them
just as an aside why do companies insist on using cheap quality white full size/euro pallets with the risk of damage instead of blue gkn
i presume its cost and what they can get away with
