I’m not going to bore you all with the “back in the day” routine but I do have a little chuckle to myself with what I read on here. This is not directed at the OP who makes a perfectly valid point.
I think if I was in your position and the brakes were after failing then that would be the last straw. I have driven some pieces of crap but I’ve never had brakes fail and I would be worried about what else might go wrong after that happening. Your obviously unhappy but afraid to say anything in case you lose your job but in this day and age no one should have to drive a lorry that’s constantly breaking down.

You are not alone mike. “Spoilt” and “soft” are 2 words that come to mind, but thing is, they don’t know anything different.
Re the OP: Merely politely & quietly pointing out to the company (perhaps something on paper) the financial cost and number of hours (add it all up) of truck and driver down time may well have an effect.
Guess nobody noticed my 3 month absence.
