The other one I’m on well you can say what you want and get the ■■■■ taken out of you but I’ve made some of the best friends I could ever wish for… They are the salt of the earth and most have gone more miles backwards than most on here.
Without naming names, I think I know which 2 forums you are on about.

I m a member of many forums as I have many interests.
I have to say that this is the most moderated/Socialist/communist forum on the net.
But saying that the contributors are usually a bit lacking in education, so do not rock the boat too much.
Shame really, as if the drivers became one, they could make such a difference…But as history dictates, fear is a great divider of people…And lorry drivers are usually a fearful bunch
I know the very forum for you. Where they are all going to make a difference to the World. Taff might tell you it if you ask him
I like it here. I’d like to be allowed to swear, but I can live with the auto censor because the rest of the site’s about right, in my view. I’ve been on all sorts of fora in the past, including another well - known trucker’s forum, and this is one of the better ones by and large. There are a few here who are a bit too ready to start an argument but every forum has some of those.
bald bloke:
I’m not a member of any other forum so i was wondering how TNUK ranks against other driving/trucking forums or for that matter any forum full stop.
I occasionally look on other drivers forums but they don’t compare with TN in my opinion, having said that every forum has to start somewhere and this place has been going a few years now.
As far as comparing TN with any sort of forum is concerned, that would be like comparing pears with chips, a driving forum is a bit of a speciality forum and can’t really be compared with other forums,
For instance DIYnot has had over 3,000 users on-line at the same time (probably within a short period of time to be exact) and regularly has 400/700 users on-line, but there are far more DIYers around than professional drivers so the 2 types of forum can’t be compared.
To be honest I’d rather see yet another picture of a blinged up Scania over someone’s crappy home office shed in the garden affair ad nauseum on DIYnot. I know you’ve probably just chosen a random example of another forum but, with that one, I always think there’s more talented folk out there doing unique interesting projects rather than just trying to save a few quid by putting a kitchen cabinet up themselves.
Didn’t know fora was the plural of forum! You learn something new every day.
This is the only forum I’m a member of, indeed it is the only forum I’ve ever been on. This has nothing to do with any other reason except I’m bone idle. It’s something I’ve been developing over the years, eventually I aim to remain immobile for months at a time.

I could pop round and sabotage your wagon if it`d help you achieve your goal?

. Thanks for the offer, but I think that the Merc auto box is well on the way to helping me there!
This is just a chat and view forum, where drivers exchange their ideals, i have found that another forum i visit does actually work and gets off of his backside to write and talk to people who matter in this industry, and does try and get the changes we need through. He has some success in that department but lacks the support of the membership, that is here on T/Net. If these two could unite, we may have a chance of getting things changed, but i dont believe trucknet want to go down that road, or at least the bosses dont, but merely want to use their magazine to highlight to good and bad in the industry via its pages, well thats my opinion anyway, and i must admit i havnt bought Commercial Motor or any of its sister magazines for years.

That bald headed idiot from Skegness has probably already sent him a PM.

i don’t think trucknet and the other site will ever unite , they exist along side each other and for fill their roles individually. this is a forum and always has been since i can remember not a campaigning website. if its your bag to act like wolfie smith and such like the other site is for you but its had very limited success in the time i’ve view it (not been on for a while and got deactivated). the other one chaired by the good lady and the commitee are out there helping ex drivers which in my eyes is a good thing. then theres the one like the uk independence party type website were anything goes .
i only visit this one now as i believe its the best on the web and even then its just a flit in and out
