At 16 I started as an apprentise hgv fitter,At 23 I was tempted to do the middle east for two years(dont belive the ■■■■■■■■ )no big ■■■■■ deal.back on the spanners for another five years. Then three years driving for Wincanton(another waste of ■■■■■ time)Then US army in Germany for a few years ( braindead morons),Then a do at “main agents” in London,Oxford ,Leeds. etc etc etc(all robbing shysters) then another load of bollox working for “family companies” the biggest bunch of thieves of them all.
Transport has been my life.I repair buses at the moment no big deal.
My son drives a bloody digger( I paid for his licence) He is earning 18 quid an hour.
For all the ■■■■ I have gone through,the VOSA crap,the CPC,the digi card,the medical crap,why the ■■■■ do I bother?
Should have just learned to drive some piece of crap digger and done 8 hours a day then go home.
Why do we do this?
60 years old now and Im only just seeing the light.
What a ■■■■■ idiot I am.
21 yr old engineer with a passion for motorsport , the team needed a class 1 driver and because I’d always been interested in trucks I was volunteered for the test , passed , and handed the keys to an F12 Globetrotter mit race transporter . Did some trolley dolly agency work elsewhere for a while to gain experience then off to the races we went , all over Europe . Many years later(in a different career altogether) one night chatting to a mate in Ottawa he mentioned that Canada was crying out for truckers and nurses(wife) , long story short within 18 months the deed was done , and all of a sudden here we are eleven years later still driving a bloody truck for a living
Seriously though it is a different world out here, for the better, despite all the sob stories you may hear .
My dad - how I hate that man now! (But not really).
Sent from the ether.

so many instant ban quotes to this running through my mind, and almost having to restrain my naughty fingers by putting them into gloves…its a gift…but I daren’t…sometimes if its too easy its not so much fun…
however for me,i just couldn’t get enough driving after passing my driving test, just a classic boy racer mad for tar,and the bigger the better as soon as I was 21…did a year in the uk…then 4 trips to Saudi then the rest mostly Europe as well as the uk…the 1st trip I ran with a dude who had previousy came back,my entire memories of that trip were the back of his tilt as that’s all I saw from 6 feet behind him for a month…kakking my pants constantly…next trip I got sent myself as I was meant to know where I was going.
I’d always dream’t of being viewed with suspicion and contempt by the general public and I quite like ■■■■■■■ on wheels.
