Homebrewing

There used to be a product called Prohibition which made a very high alcohol “spirit”. You fermented sugar and plain water then added flavouring and extra sugar. Their peach schnapps was exceptional - I drank many a gallon of it  Not distilled just brewed (I appreciate the difference) but they also made gin, whiskey and I think vodka. Boots used to sell it.

I dont drink beer any more so mine would have to be a still, but very muchly frowned upon by HMCE. :frowning:

And the Lincolnshire Fire Brigade :stuck_out_tongue:

To right the Lincolnshire fire brigade would be annoyed if they got a shout… because I live in Scotland

Update.
Checked the gravity and it was at about 1.005, so i had a little taste and it was quite nice
So I used a siphon to rack it into another tub, i then added some vanilla extract and another litre of apple juice. WIill leave it now for 2 weeks then bottle it up.
Heres all the crap that was left

And heres the crap I have to drink until my brew is ready

And got this on order and will start brewing it next weekend

I do fear for your liver. Everything in moderation… Like the idea of adding vanilla though, and love the interesting Belgian beers.
