Holiday request

I’ve never started a new job, and not had any pre-planned days off refused. If I mention my pre-planned days off, and the company are not willing/able to accommodate, they are not worth working for, and I would walk.

If you always have your preplanned holiday refused, but you always walk, how have you ever got a new job?

:grimacing:

You know what I didn’t mean.

Transport, working Christmas/New Year
What The [ZB] is so important that it absolutely has to be transported over Christmas or New Year

I can only imagine every truck must surely be fully loaded with Beer, Mince pies & Pork Pies. Essential to keep these items moving

Don’t forget the whisky

But no! Food shops have absolutely no need to be open Christmas Day, and no need to force their employees to work Christmas Day, or New Years Day.
None Christians who don’t celebrate Christmas can obviously do whatever they like on that day. They close on their own holy days.

They kept a list, new starters did not qualify until the second year unless they had holidays booked prior to starting, then they worked the next year. It was only certain minority of individuals who did not think it a fair system.

Perhaps I should have made myself clearer
Xmas/ New year period meaning like the non holiday days prior and in between Xmas day and New Year booking them off to extend the break.

And I’m sure the gaffer would be only to pleased to let you go IMHO.

I`ve been shipped out empty straight after New Year to collect “emergency champagne”…!

Mind you since…B■■?..we ship out empty most of the time now.
(But I`m not allowed to say that for fear of upsetting the snowflakes)

I suspect my friend that you have grasped to pointy end of the stick from the wrong end with reference to snowflakes.

Aye
So not only are those who voted for Brexit,… raging racists, misguided, mistaken regretful and ’ little Englanders’ , we are now '‘Snowflakes’ according to our resident Brexit specialist.

I wouldn’t mind so much if we’d actually got the Brexit we hoped we voted for instead of a measly BRINO, first off the ECH should have no influence or say and our navy or border farce and lifeboat service wouldn’t be acting as ferrymen for illegal immigrants.

I love the way Franglais manages to get a Brexit dig in, even on a non Brexit thread.

The Gov increased the number of RN boats in the channel. So under their current rules they can now rescue more sinking rubber boats…

But like Rwanda etc, etc, what actually happens doesn`t matter one little fig, (Maybe Juddian will agree here?) the headlines say the right things

He’ll agree 100%, however it isn’t incompetence or stupidity or even accidental, what is happening is deliberate and by design.
Why you may ask, that is the $64000 question, the answer is it isn’t supposed to make sense to anyone remotely normal or capable of free thought, none of what has happened recently is supposed to.

People accuse some of us as conspiracy theorists, we arn’t, we’re the things arn’t adding up and its becoming ever more bloody obvious theorists.
