Hgv class one jobs Stoke-on-Trent

kjw21:
Is fed ex at Newcastle? If so is that all agency or dead mans shoes?

FedEx has mostly salaried drivers, but has several employed casual drivers on zero hours contracts.
Suits me as I only work two night trunks a week, but some of my mates work full time when there is the work.
I think the only way onto the permanent staff is via the casual.

Pets at home.By the football stadium.Downtons have the contract. Not sure who the agency is.

When I worked for them a few years ago,it was through Best Connections, and I believe that as agencies go,they are among the best.

Ah yes, “among the best” that old cliche like “second to none” which makes it sound like they came second in a match when no one else turned up!.

Remember that old Monopoly card…
“You have won second prize in a beauty competition”.
Subo’s arse won it. :unamused:

Stobarts are wanting full time drivers out of Stoke. Think they are still based on J16 R/Bout M6.

They want full time at ports Stoke, a couple of the drivers they have just taken on are just passed their HGV. You do need a bit of DCPC though.

What sort of take home pay is it for the night work?

I dunno, I’m a day driver, but I think its about £460 take home.

Easy run to Felixstowe and back every night… be prepared to get recovered from time to time though!
