finnly300:
Know what you meen on that one, i only stop to get a quater (15 mins) break i, dont even get out the cab as rule.
Dave the Renegade:
No we only stopped for a break Fin and the toilets, carried our own food and drink, not eating their rubbish,or paying the prices they want for it.
If we wanted grub.I would go onto the truckstop at Avonmouth,as I always cut up through there and over the old bridge,it cuts quite a few miles off.I know its no good for you blokes because of the weight limit a Brockweir Bridge.
Ok Fin,expect you will be up early for church in the morning, catch you again.
Cheers Dave.
Dave the Renegade:
Hi Fin,
I have a load of Sharples pics back on the Welsh Border thread, I remember a Sharples driver in a bad smash by Whitney Toll Bridge, when the railway bridge was still there,I think it was a head on with a Oliver Hart coal bulker, possibly that was the one. There was a chap called Watkins from Pembridge killed driving for them,I think he was a brother to Bill and John Watkins from Pembridge who were also lorry drivers,John known as Hoppy drove for Morfa Transport on the steel.
Cheers Dave.
dave think the watkins lived in erdisland, bill used to driver for johnny price the spud farmer from kingsland.
you need to go and see gordon underhill from monkland, he use to drive for morfa for years,
