just found another photo of my dads truck BAY 634 T somewhere in ITALY.Heard Dave Bright has been very ill but from what i hear is now making a recovery last seen him at my dads funeral.

he also worked for hercocks / darby white he drove the bay634t f10 a few times for them before buying it off cole robinson his name mick spriggs /SPRIGGO ring any bells with any one

Yes i remember Richard Sarul Ex Hercocks and Ex Owner Driver subbed for Stokes Transport based at Hercocks old Welford Road Depot before moving to Merrylees near Desford.Richard lived in Wigston with Linda and son Andrew.
When Richard decided to sell up he ran a Pub With Linda in Stamford called “The Millstone”.
Sadly a few years ago Richard was killed when driving after suffering a Heart Attack behind the wheel of an Artic at least he went outa this world doing the job he loved.RIP Richard…
I worked with Dave Speake at Kinch Bulk Haulage for a few years and have some fond memories of him,always the same everyday no matter what the task,enjoyed his tabs,tea,and bacon sarnies.The last time I met him he was working for a north country firm I can’t remember the name and the last I heard he was on Walkers crisps until I heard of his passing,R.I.P Grandad a true gentleman x

A friend used to work for stokes on a Bedford TK Simon Leedham. A bloke round the corner from me bought an ex Hercocks F10, repainted it blue with Cole Robinson on the side, was that anything to do with Sid Robbo…

Remember that Leemick blue F10, did it have a white and red stripe on it too.

I remember arrivehaul very well called themselves the panda squadron .
After reading through the posts , John Whitbread remember running to Italy with him when he drove a F89 for McKellars before he when to Hercock`s

I think mick spriggs was a subby driver who ran out of scudamore road for fred and malc cheerful bloke flat cap and a ■■■ is how i remember him back in the late 70s down welford road yard
