i don’t think its a rip off as i agree you can park after tipping and there’s usually a cafe or bar on site and its cheaper than the services just pointing out that its not a french thing.
the bloke in smithfield is a rip off but he’s got a monopoly on all the forklifts drivers as they all work for the same guy
mind the the dutch men they think they own runges and the black guys on the loading bays they always looking for coffey money
Please don’t start the should we shouldn’t we pay for tipping in Markets thread again
But I agree 10 or 11 euros is not expensive. Paris is a big place but there isn’t many safe places to park a 15 metre truck, it is certainly free to park at Roye at the moment, 2 hours away or a bit closer at the secure services near Senlis.
Me, I would sooner get into the market to park up. We used to load Groupage out of the dry side late on Friday afternoon, it is quite nice to sit in the yard and wait until the madness that is the Peripherique is over
Take a walk around and have a look at all the food, one of the wonders of the food world. We use to do perhiforique and A6 and it was the turn off before the first peage, i think. Amazing place though and some terrific places to eat. Steak frites and shallot sauce.
And you use to have to pay to go into Nine Elms, so not just the french. We use to get it back off where we tipped.
Just keep to the a86 for Bordeaux, junction 26 off a86 then 2nd slip road, signed Rungis MIN,once through the barrier bare left, then turn left and that`s you into the meat section.Best advice i can give is take your time and keep chilled, its a place you cant rush.
If you got time in afternoon walk round and find your drops.
