"Heavy Haulage through the years"

That’s a F8.28D and had the Detroit Diesel V12 under the bonnet, coupled to an Allison HT70.

Chassis number 78354, was bought by Morgan Industry and Marine, Egypt.

The funny thing was that it was exposed to the public at the FTF stand during the RAI exhibition in 1978, but it was put to work as late as 1982.

Was that wise to mention the Detroit Diesel ?

It does, I’m not sure if it was sold to another firm afterwards to be honest, but it is the same unit.

Drake would be the Rolls Royce of low loaders etc., in Australia.
They tend to be heavy but robust.

Looks like a Mack bulldog on top of the KW badge.

No on top of KW badge is probably a Rubber Duck 10-4 good buddy. Gerbil

That was the film ^^^ that made me want to be a truck driver. There is no family history of truck driving.

Perhaps I’m easily influenced because it was Lewis Collins in The Professionals that made me join the army! :joy:
