"Heavy Haulage through the years"

Buzzer

Not Brambles Buzzer, but thankfully not WR Riding either.
The cop car dates it around the turn of the century.

What do you reckon the prime mover is David? It’s an old photo that doesn’t blow up well, but I’m torn between R model and Diamond T.

The discussion has reminded me of a mischievous job I was once involved with, lookout on the Jackanory thread.

Nearly, my first thought was B model or Diamond T. But really, looking from that angle it could be almost anything pre '60s. Even an Inter.

I think the sleeper box dates the photo to early '70s, but admittedly it could have been added when the truck was ten or more years old.
I reckon the truck is a secondary part of the business, the main business being scrub clearing. This destruction of the environment was done wholesale, with a heavy chain attached to the rear of each dozer, ripping out everything between them.

You’re right, until just now I didn’t notice the sleeper, assumed its rounded shape was the back of the cab.

How about unloading? Drop the 2nd trailer and run the 1st dozer off via the ramps, then re-connect for stability before using the first dozer to build up a bank for the 2nd one to run down?
The sort of thing you would come up with in the bush I reckon.

That, or something equally dodgy, David.
