Apologies if the pic’s appear to be a bit wonky, if you click on them they should behave…

Good luck with new job, sounds interesting already. How many in the Bolk wagon park today? Had a couple of neighbor Rensink up here in Esbjerg recently, think shipping to/from Immingham with abnormal on.

I was fortunate with my hernia Dan, they did it ‘keyhole’ with just a few stitches but they told me not to drive for a month. Luckily I was retired anyway by then. The nurse at Calow told me that I couldn’t go home until I passed water so I told her that I would ask my mate to drive across the River Rother when he collected me…she had no sense of humour! :unamused: However they used a mesh to hold it all in place and that can give problems later, and I think it may be doing exactly that as I have pain occasionally in the morning, it’s quite a major operation to repair it again though. Take things steady lad.

Pete.

I had similar keyhole op WR all seemed ok but 18 months later the cook had a fall when we were travelling in a very remote area and lifting her caused problems which resulted in major surgery to fix the blowout, thats what my surgeon told me, anyhow I finished up with a scar that must be 6inches vertical on my stomach.Apparently the mesh on the keyhole job had just torn he replaced it with mesh that was 3 times thicker and now 18 months on no problems.
I just had restrictions on what I could lift etc and not bending to much until the healing had taken effect, I to had to pass water before getting released and I crossed the Swan river on the way home just to be on the safe side.

Nice motor mate, is that a Premium or whatever they call them nowadays…?

Regarding the hernia, best wishes and a speedy recovery mate!

I’m surprised to learn that they still do surgery on hernia’s, as here in Holland they do nowt about it anymore, it’s got to heal with doing sod all for a long time they say… former colleague of mine who had it was home for 6 months…

Ta mate, not sure but they’ve got quite a lot of motors on the HH side, at a guess I would say 50. And than there’s the general haulage and container haulage to consider, so all in all, over a 100…?

Rensink is the next door neighbour, always had that very distinctive livery.

Had to sail back once from Esbjerg to Immingham, loaded a RR engine in Copenhagen destinated for the RR works in Derby, had the old address for the terminal, so got there to find… they moved to a different place. Took me a few paces up and down the docks (clock was ticking) and with a bit of help from the locals, but I found it in the end, coming to a grinding halt at the gate. Couldn’t open it, as I didn’t had a code and there was no intercom. With just a few minutes to spare before the boat lifted it’s anker, I asked a driver that came out of the gate if he knew how I could get hold of someone, he opened the gate for me and I was finally in… or so I thought… drove up to the check-in where I was told I was too late and had to re-book my crossing…

Me brother had one of them in just this week with no oil pressure ,he put a gauge in block which confirmed it’s definitely a fault in the engine so dropped the sump off and the oil pick up pipe had split .iam not even allowed out the back door up to the garage ffs :unamused:

That’s some serious engine failure, was it still under warranty? Does Renault still build there own engines, or is that a Swedish heart beating under the bonnet?

Look at it from the bright side mate, you can roam on TK now all day long!
