Fagioli

I remember on my way back from the M/E one trip, someone on the Greek boat telling me that Fagioli once sent a convoy of trucks to India, with one of them done out as a mobile workshop. Dunno how true that was. Cheers, Robert

Morning Dig, MOL made specialist trucks for the oil fields, heavy haulage etc and were from Belgium.

Heres a couple of adverts.

This must have been a little flyer… anyone knows if they’re still in the trade?

Thanks Deano I did track them down on Google they certainly build big jiggers.
Nice one Oily, Spardo was a dab hand at wrestling with a quad box.
I reckon this old girl would have been a challenge it had a main box and 2 two speed joey boxes one mounted back to front this gave it an overdrive,so 3 sticks to play with and keep you busy, the owner an old english gentleman told me in low low it would take the truck 5 mins to idle by a blade of grass growing in the winnow.

Cheers Dig

No jump-ups too frightening for that one then Dig?

BTW, my B61 never looked as posh as that yellow and red vision, what a beauty,

But the bull bars and the midplaced searchlight looked the biz nevertheless.

Here’s another one, I got this floater out of Minnesota and dropped it in Saskatchewan yesterday, reloaded with an experimental header that’s going back to New Holland Pennsylvania, it’s a legal load, but it’s on wheels and needed to be on a low loader so they can get it off at the destination.

I’ve been looking at that second pic for a while now… and it does look like you can attach that last axle to the trailer…? Ahum… takes a while sometimes to let the penny drop…

Yes it’s a flip axle, I’ll take a close up of it tomorrow so you can see it in more detail, I’ve got a Deere Hitachi 360 on the back too so I’ll post some pics of that too.

The last few weeks, got the tractor from Baltimore docks, took that to Manitoba, picked up the transformers and took those to Seattle, coast to coast with a stop in Canada along the way. From there I went just down the road to Tacoma and loaded the D6. That went to Saskatchewan the long way around thanks to the spring weight restrictions on the direct route. Then I got the 1963 vintage forklift from Calgary airport and took it to Winnipeg airport, reloaded with the trackmobile thing that’s used to move train cars around and that went to New Hampshire, from there it was empty down to North Carolina for an excavator which I’m taking to Regina, again taking the long way around due to road restrictions and construction.

Cheers Dean for the MOL brochure.

They’re still very much “alive and kicking” DIG, passed their yard on numerous occasions, as it is a heavy haulage route, some serious kit those lot put together.

Normally I would have my doubts hearing stories like that… in the case of Fagioli though, it wouldn’t surprise me if it was true.

Heinkel? Heinkel! That trusty old Merc you mean Pete

About that Mack, nice one Oily, the owner actually escorted me on a couple occasions, told me that the locomotive on the back isn’t what it seems to be… it’s like a caravan disguised as a locomotive…

You drove on of those Spardo? Must have been… erm… quite the experience I reckon…

This could have been Spardo doing his bit Patrick.

Thanks NMM you certainly do some miles.

There is some incredible equipment being manufactured out there these days Deano, the skys the limit.I wonder what the ground pressure per tyre is with these modular units it must be pretty low as they work in port /wharf areas.
Dig

Proper “little” motor DIG, looks like he’s bogged down though… …coat…
