They say ignorance is bliss but that can’t be true as 70% of people I meet are ignorant but they’re bloody miserable too! Miserable seems to be the norm across the UK. We all need to lighten up!

My thinking of this is that people overvalue themselves too much, lorry drivers especially, they make out it is some difficult skilled job when in reality it takes less time to get fully qualified than it does a barmaid.
In general you work flexi time to suit yourself, the views from the office are great and the company you keep is of your choosing. Show me any factory work where you can get all that.
Forget the age old crap about “my missus earns more at Tesco” She doesn’t, unless she is a senior buyer, she earns about £9k per annum.
When I started driving it cost me the equivalent of a months wages to pass my test, I don’t see much has changed in that respect, the job is far simpler and dumbed down these days, as the only contact most drivers have with the load is closing the rear doors.
I miss the job due to health reasons and no other.
i’m happier than Larry.
Thats cheap my licence was 2 months wages inc DCPC theory, etc and thats only for Cat C.

Only if you are in a Tautliner, if you have a flat bed you have to rope and sheet it closed… Oh sorry wrong thread 
Recession,what recession.
Ive been in fridge work for 17 years delivering food stuffs and I’ve never noticed it getting quiet. Suppose it depends what sector your in.
As for being happy at work I’ve never been happier and the money’s good too
I think I pick up a decent wage every week, and what’s more I’m doing a job I love and despite all the moaning we ALL do, let’s face it this day and age it’s pretty easy.
