Mr Angry posts in a row you fired at me yesterday, cos you got very upset at me calling you a ‘pants pulled right down’ liar?

Not upset m8, just pointing towards the facts. You have stated that you have towed a reefer all over Europe, we now know that is incorrect, I honestly don’t mind what you say in the least, but you have to admit it is cringe worthy and pointless you trying to convince someone like me who knows reefers inside out. Personally I wouldn’t trust you with one of these coolboxes let alone a load of frozen meat. Nothing nasty is meant by it, it is merely a fact. You have been caught out. Just leave it there. As stated this is your first ousting. You simply come on to my posts and expect nothing back in return, that is very cowardly custard of you. Dream on as you really are having a laugh. Any way buy yourself one of these cool boxes they are excellent value for money.

8 hours and 55 minutes. Think I touched a nerve when I hit the nail firmly on the head.

Longer answers may involve spurious woffle about dry ice, hydrogen fusion etc.

■■? no idea what you are talking about, This was not addressed to you. Are you asking for advice with regards these coolboxes, I have one myself so I can give you an opinion. Personally I like them, cheap, good value, do the job, plenty of storage space, easy to use. Just don’t turn them off.

Yes and there are those that claim you can see steam with you’re eyes, and that we actually produce it and that it comes out of you’re mouth. Amazing Franglais facts.

Steam, odourless, invisible gas consisting of vaporized water. It is usually interspersed with minute droplets of water, which gives it a white, cloudy appearance.
Encyclopedia Britannica. britannica.com/science/steam
.
Ive seen breath on a frosty morning. If that isnt steam condensing what is it?
Same with steam rising from a hot (not boiling) bath.
And steam rising from a road surface on a hot day, after a rain shower. The road surface isnt 100degC. Is that not steam? . What will it be? "No pleasure taken from pulling anyone down. I don't do that". Or "I think we can call it game, set and match to me Franglais. I was playing with you nicely and like a cat patting a mouse backwards and forwards without completely killing it." And "Yes I could very easily explain to you the difference between water vapour and steam, but lets not go there again, cannot take another 10 pages of explanation for you to analyse and question" Or " btw it is such an easy question that you are asking." . So, is the difference between water vapour and steam easy to describe or does it take 10 pages to explain? And are you a benevolent and helpful educator or a crowing egotist? .. And although you dont like the Wikipedia definition of steam,
“Steam is water in the gas phase. It is commonly formed by boiling or evaporating water. Steam that is saturated or superheated is invisible; however, “steam” often refers to wet steam, the visible mist or aerosol of water droplets formed as water vapour condenses”
Why not? What is wrong with that definition?
And showing a picture of a gold card with a note telling me to “F off” wouldn`t be a very nice reply.

You have answered yourself there without even knowing, You’re body is not a steam generator.

Ok Franglais, I will give you you’re answers seen as you are very confused by steam and have what just might be a genuine question, I do not want to waste my time by explaining this to you for too long but it is going to involve quite a lengthy explanation because of the nature of the question, let us firstly say, I understand you’re analogy of seeing steam coming out of you’re mouth exactly as I am sure you understood my analogy of dry ice coming out of a trailer. Both technically incorrect but both equally as descriptive as each other.
Now please bare in mind that this is my specialist subject and that I have undergone extensive training and education in this subject, so what I am going to explain to you is what it actually is rather than what it looks like. I also have to try to explain all of this to you as a non technical person that may or may not already understand or have never even heard of the scientific notation and theories that do exist for steam. It is an actual science. See already we are into a boring amount of text and I haven’t even got to the nitty gritty. So what I will do is start another thread in bully’s if I am allowed to explain it all for you, that way people who want to learn about this topic who are sensible may also benefit. those who don’t need not be bored to tears as personally this is very basic for me, but to others it can be quite involved so I will try to keep it as simple as possible. Don’t argue about what I tell you, you can find out yourself if you do not agree and try to prove me wrong, which incidentally is impossible as I already know I am correct, I wouldn’t tell you anything that is incorrect or might be hearsay. I will say though all of the above that you have typed is totally wrong, all you have quoted is an analogy and the term steam is not what it actually is. Does it matter though, well no not really, so long as you know it isn’t really steam, like a vacuum cleaner is not a hoover. Does it really matter.

Well Franglais
I would call that game set and match. But no doubt Mr Fridge will be back with another dose of Verbal Diarrhoea.
But seeing as he has made a complete fool of himself yet again. Thinking that he is some sort of Detective and Deducing like a kiddies version of Sherlock Holmes. According to detective Fridge, I am some one called " Andie Hyde" what a plonker.
Well I know who not to ask about Reefers ( No Mr Fridge its not something you Smoke )

you can bet your bottom dollar that fridge jesus will be along for another google fuelled waffle ( no doubt with the jake clone to cross post at the oppertune moment.)
all we can do is just watch another locked thread in the making. completely laughable until you think of the reality of how sad a life you would need to have in reality to have to invent identities to impress himself.
at best it passes the time till the next lock.
back on topic, then the halfords jobs are a cheap and cheerful better than nothing, but basically crap compared to other offerings.

The short answer is that any moisture in the air, inside the box will tend to condense out as the air cools.

Really?? That is amazing, condense out? There is a term I have never heard of, moisture is already condensed isn’t it? surely wouldn’t it turn to ice as the air cools and then condense when you open the lid as the warm air gets drawn into the fridge?? That would be my understanding of it. I would look it up on Wikipedia again.

TBF, I think that Franglais has this right… apart from the word “out.”

If you took the word “out” out of what Franglais said (quoted,) then wouldn’t what he said make sense?

Water vapour, condenses 'out" of the atmosphere onto the cold surface of a cool box, maybe?

Wikipedia entry "water vapour’
Atmosphere section.
“Water vapour condenses out of the now cold air. …”
.
Edit to add.
Same expression in Collins English Dictionary.

No Dave it isn’t right. The vapour condenses when warm and cold air mix, it is the meeting of the two temps as I explained. Water will not condense with just one temperature of either hot or cold. Franglais has also used the term condense out, water vapour condenses. The problem with Wikipedia or google etc. You are not reading technical engineering documents unless you really search for them. Even then you will find that technically the majority are wrong. Like I had already stated this is been very picky indeed. Normally you wouldn’t even bother picking such trivia up. I was merely making a point of being technically right as he did with me in my dry ice analogy. However on other matters such as his steam theory, I have offered the actual technically correct explanation as to me this is interesting. Certainly as far as others and there is a lot of people to be fair who use the name steam incorrectly all of the time. I can put this to bed and educate people on this point. Call me pedantic but it wasn’t me who was being pedantic at first. I was merely explaining why you don’t defrost on a loading bay. Once again there are those who don’t know better. Not anything personal towards Franglais but if he wants to be technically correct and pedantic, this just shows how easy it is to do likewise.

Just to add to my previous reply, there is a way I have missed to condense vapour without two separate temps meeting. You could increase the pressure, this would obviously have to be in an enclosed vessel though, when you increase the pressure of a liquid and then rapidly decrease it into a vapour you can super heat and change the latent temperature. Just to be technically correct of course. You will see this in tankers by holding a chemical in liquid suspension by increasing the pressure within the tank. Open a valve to atmospheric pressure, (decrease it) and the gas will shoot out. Take liquid ammonia or Oxygen as an example.
