GUY Big J 8LXB Tractor Unit

To be fair it was my digging for evidence, not yours, that proved the order sheet provided previously, as being credible. The thing fitted and we’ve got the orders for it and who ordered it and how many.

Am I in a parallel universe? Has our friend (sic) actually come out and admitted that he has been talking a load of **** (rhymes with trap).

To add I was quoting Bewick’s post number 55 2011.

If the Big J has a bleedin 4’9’’ front overhang then there’ll obviously be a lot less of the motor sticking out behind the cab than that.

I’ve admitted that, after a process of logical deduction, that the order sheet that we’ve got, regarding the production and sales and customers, for the 9’6’’ wheelbase, 240 8LXB Gardner powered BigJ tractor unit, is credible.
As is the story and the photograph provided by Dave the Renegade.
I am now among the ranks of the believers not the sceptics like H and …Bewick.

There is a rumour that companies in Silicon Valley have been tasked to develop a ‘computer chip’ with enough capacity to accommodate EVERYTHING our hero knows.
My thinking ?? it can’t be done, he knows MORE than any Artificial Intelligence.

I obviously didn’t know that either the 9’6’’ wheel base Big J tractor unit nor the ERF A series, had an additional 4’ > + of chassis length ahead of their respective steer axle centre lines.
Asking questions and looking for answers is how we all learn stuff.

When he eventually leaves this mortal toil his brain should be put on display in the natural history museum but it will be a hell of a job installing it as they will have to drop it in through the roof by crane !

[quote=“grumpy_old_man, post:5547, topic:192128, full:true”] he knows MORE than any Artificial Intelligence.

Can anyone vouch that he does live and breathe, he is blood, bone and sinue? Perhaps his presence is brought to us by the power of super-computing already?

That said, many do say, you should never meet your heroes.

They do say never meet your heroes, Tom certainly has a temper.

Sounds more like Bewick than me.

Going by your replies to Dave the Renegade at the start of it all maybe you need to take your own advice.
More chance of Elvis on the Moon than the existence of the 240 BigJ indeed.

Dennis I thought you were of the impression there was only cotton wool between his lugholes
