Never mind the Jehovahs witnesses, I’m still waiting for the S.O.M. witnesses to appear
did this thread get resurected for easter?
and where’s Carryfast been hiding?
we need answers…or maybe not!!

Apparently Trev theres a Big J 8LXB going to “appear” in the middle of Wolverhampton on Easter Sunday!! Well thats what it say’s on the label of the 15th bottle of M & B’s I’ve just had!! Dennis.

They would’nt allow that in Wolverhampton now because Easter Sunday and any type of miracles associated with it have been banned under Sharia law. :open_mouth:

I think we could change all that on Easter Sunday “Carryfast” if we get a Donkey and strap you onto it facing backwards and set it off through W’Hampton!!! Has anyone got any rotten fruit? Cheers Bewick.

Now we know why Mohammed Carryfast doesn’t eat pork :exclamation:

:open_mouth: Blimey that must be the first time in history that Irish/English has been confused with Asian. :open_mouth:

I was referring to the locals there who’ve probably banned Easter and it’s miracles so as not to offend the Asian majority.  But if you don’t believe that try driving a Guy Big J,regardless of wether it’s fitted with an 8LXB or a ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ there, while burning the Koran and see what happens. :open_mouth:

According to Muslims, Sharia law is founded on the words of Allah as revealed in the Qur’an, and traditions gathered from the life of the Prophet Muhammad. Muhammad was born ca. 570 CE in Mecca, a trading city in the Arabian desert. In addition to being a center of trade on the caravan routes, Mecca was a place of pilgrimage for Arabs of many beliefs
Can’t see much Irish/English about that Mohammed Carryfast

:open_mouth: That might explain where the 8 LXB Big J believers got their ideas from. Some say that the only one ever built was put on international work hauling return loads of bananas from Pakistan to Birmingham.

That’s why they fitted the 8LXB, because the ■■■■■■■■ kept breaking down, and we had a very big shortage of bananas

Plenty of Gardner 8LXB marine engines are powering all sorts of boats, even the banana tubs :exclamation:  .

There’s as much chance of them ever having powered this with the 8 LXB (or having collected any bananas from India/Pakistan with it ) as GUY Motors putting a 8 LXB in a Big J.

Seems clear enough to me.Just another way of saying that it’s about as likely that they built a Big J powered by an 8 LXB as it would be that they imported bananas with it from Pakistan. :bulb:

They definitely built 40 Guy Big J’s with the 8LXB engine Carryfast.I know a firm local to me that had one,and several Smiths of Maddiston drivers have posted on here saying they drove them.
Cheers Dave.

I believe you David, because M A Evans had the one which SOM didn’t have. These others on here believe in Father Christmas before they believe in the truth :smiling_imp:   .
Cheers Dave.

Just been speaking to a friend, well we’ve just been drinking whisky together. He worked with som many years ago and he has an ex mechanic at Maddiston that phones him weekly. He can also confirm the existance of the big j 8lxb.So Dennis you and your band of disbelievers will have to give in some day.Had problems logging in so now added 51 to my user name.

Regards,Robert.

Hope we come across one some day, when I go in a box I want to go down the road on the back of one. :sunglasses: :sunglasses:
