Lee Child and Clive Cussler, both fantastic reads, the kind you can’t put down

Along with Shuttle. I agree with Sven Hassell, but in general, a book grabs me by it’s cover and snapline on the back and not necessarily the author.After all not all Shakespeare is riveting and Bill Bryson is trying too hard to be funny now.
Someone famous said they read page 69 and if it interests them they will buy the book
I always try to start at the second chapter to see if i like it. Too many authors spend too much time trying to get that perfect opening line or paragraph. If chapter 2 gets you involved than it cant be too bad.
Ive got a book in the cab now and its a blinder! but I can’t remember the author (I’m at home) the title is Underland and its about a vampire called Victor Renquist, very good read so far

Err, I don’t mean it took me 61 hours to read it, that’s the title.
