Nice day that,I’ll swop it for mine. it’s only about 350miles. Tip Chesterfield at 6am,then go toMiddlewich tank wash, load at Northwich and take the trailer to Killingholme, drop trailer and pick another up and tip at Flint. Feeling tired thinking about it.
It that kingspan at flint.
No Kimberly Clark,I’ll be landing at 19.308-)

alfaman, was that you i saw in the lorry park this morning, i was a bit paranoid those puddles were deeper than they looked lol, chose not to stop in there over night due to the live genset which would have p***ed everyone off.
Yeh that was me with the red and white scania.

got a proper load to do on monday (about time) felixstowe to peterhead
got it on now, just waiting for a genset, so i’ll be back home tonight, then go up sunday, google maps says 584miles back to felixstowe - most i’ve done in one day was 552miles i’m sure(a long time ago), wonder if i can beat it, got a good limiter but i dont think it’ll be good enough
Sounds like a planner that I had when I was on Maritime - on 1 of the contracts on that day, not general - and they wanted me to get a refer from Thamesport, and a genset from around the corner, then upto Newcastle upon Tyne +/- a few miles, tip then back to Thamesport and return the genset in the same day
I said I had no 13hr driving days left that week - ok, might have done it in 12 +/- - and that’s without tipping time which took a while, and I had no reducers left either, no split rests that week, so made it to about Peterborough if I remember rightly just before my 13hrs was up.
I’d had to get the box and the refer before setting off don’t forget. Think I was around my 9hrs driving too, something like that.
They are crazy these people, sometimes I wonder if they just look at a globe like you had at school and go ‘it’s not that far, about an inch??’
well i didnt make it back to felixstowe yesterday, i kind of knew i wouldnt when i decided to take my eldest with me for the ride out, despite school telling me they wouldnt authorise it! naughty me. i never realised aberdeen was a bit of a chew to get through, up until sunday i’d always delivered to the same place there and thats on the outskirts as you get to it so despite the signs saying something like 32 miles to peterhead it took over an hour to get there once we got to aberdeen, and the return leg mirrored that. the weather was pretty crap on the way up, rain, then a head wind all the was back down has led to some serious go go juice being used, i’m estimating in the region of 800litres
but it was nice to get past the m62 for once and my little lass enjoyed the night in daddy’s lorry.
also went down to the harbour (as it was a long tip) and got to see some seals - a nice treat for us both to be honest!

You did well to miss the port closure this morning though, see you running out at 6ish, and running back in mid afternoon. I was stuck in the yard for 7 hours
I was lucky last night got one of the last vbs’s before it shut and escaped before the madness this morning ,my second box for today came out of alconbury
anyway another scotch mega mission for me ,think the planners trying to tell me something

Yes, that they would rather burn your fuel than theirs.
