Gonna be an interesting accident form!

I did a week for Lynx Parcels a few years ago.

The job was to take a trailer from Birmingham to the hub at Nuneaton, swap trailers, go to Marsh Barton in Exeter, swap trailers, have a break, go back to Nuneaton, yes, you’ve guessed it - swap again then finish the run at Landor St. in B/ham.
The first day I dropped the trailer at the hub, while reversing in-to a space, the rear wheels bounced while I was reversing.

’ Oh No ’ I thought. ’ I’ve hit something.

On getting out, I found that there were 2 blocks you had to reverse over.

On asking a shunter, he told me that they had had some run-aways, and the blocks stopped the units and trailers rolling in-to the hub if drivers " Forgot the procedure ".

Cheap but effective.

Cheers,

Niall.

I was in Nuneaton Lynx unit park the other day ( a mate and I were pretending to work  ) and we were discussing the ridge, it’s a great idea and like you said Niall cheap and effective and all the trailers are in a uniformed line.
