Getting started with euro driving

Concretejim:
Stobratski will send new boys into europe if you get onto there “motorsport program”. Pirelli, williams, and they now have a few in at mercedes too.

Be careful what you wish for, smashed trucks and trailers is a guarentee on every trip. As is having no days of.

“Smashed trucks and trailers every trip”!?
Never seen your posts as exaggerated. …

From what I gather from the logistics guys at Mercedes, the Schenker drivers did their fair share of damage and judging by the damage On the trucks and trailers of the race team I’ve just started with and the place I worked a couple of years ago, it seems they realised that the money saved by using the local agency instead of a full time driver was more than balanced out by the damage done to the trailers and units, mostly getting on and off ferries or in peages.

If C-J is saying that there’s been loads of damage on recent race transporters then I wouldn’t argue that point.
I may have been wrongly reading it as crashes on every euro trip. My error.

Is it only me who thinks the Spanish Peages are the most narrow?

I can get on with the French ones (keep to the right!) and the Italian ones (mind out for the idiot in the audi or the camper van) but the Spanish ones I have a real struggle with

The French ones on the A8 seem narrower to me than the rest. That Peage company is only down in that area I believe, so I guess it’s possible?
I do breath in going through theirs and tuck my elbows in!

Witnessing with my own eyes at everyrace, and knowing some of the pirelli guys who have to tip/work with these trailers its just the truth.

Hell were all human, and accidents happen. But damaged equipment coming back after every trip must be annoying at some point. My guess is stobbies cover all damage.

Schenkers ran everything truck wise at mercs on paper. Stobbies only have the race transporters back, although there were a lot of english “truckies” on that gig.

There is no way a agency/temp is going to care for a truck as much as a full time guy.

I use to put a massive effort into my designated combination, as imo it was a reflection of me and my ability to do my job. Now i rarely get to drive the thing anymore.
