We aren’t a million miles apart in our thinking, but I think the biggest thing has been the fact that women just have more choice ( I am female) and I can introduce you to friends of mine ( not exciting, all old enough to be your mother
) that chose not to because they didn’t want kids. I’m sure there are people out there who will value a car over another kid, I’m not sure that’s the main factor.

BTW at your age, the only reason I had a house was my Dad went bankrupt and it was buy it at a cheap price or we were homeless, otherwise I couldn’t have afforded to buy at 26. If you are in the south east, I’d wipe myself out trying to live there.
Fair enough, tough going but you made the best of a bad situation and I live in Co.Durham (near A1 J61) houses here can be had pretty cheap, shockingly cheap infact!
