will be having a word with Smartdiesel (UK fuels) about the 114.39 (114.68 last week) they quoted me , and will be telling The Fuel Card Company where they can stick their Keyfuels card ( 119.33 same as last week )

Chuffin ek, how come so much variation between prices even within the same supplier/bunker e.g UK fuels, you tell em shuttlespanker and Denis F those prices are disgusting, give Fleetgreen a call, UK Card Services Ltd, Crewe, Cheshire, 0844 8802469, says it Biodiesel but you can go anywere, I fill up at Redbeck Wakefield and Whitwood Truckstop regular away, only place that does Biodiesel is Morrisons. Good luck.
The only thing I can think of is fuel quantities.

my smart price this week is 113.72, but my best is the morgan keyfuels card at 112.90
W/C Mon -28/5 113.5 ppl with UK Fuels…no different to last weeks really…mail sent saying so.it’s only 2ppl less than local garage by me & 1 less than the supermarkets!!

Up to last week I had been using Keyfuels (RHA card through the Fuelcard company), which was provided by the company I subby to, and also a Shell card of my own (again through the Fuelcard company).
As I was watching you all on here reporting a sharp drop in diesel prices mine went up and just stayed there! My last Shell price was £121.15 and RHA was £119.84, this is all while a fellow owner driver is paying £112.32 with a direct BP card. A massive difference between two hauliers doing the same work and using roughly 1000 litres per week!
Anyway words were had with the subby I work for and the Keyfuels card has now been replaced with a UK fuels card through Fuelmate and I’ve also cancelled my account with my shell card through The Fuelcard Company. This was done for more than one reason- the price was way too high, payment terms were 7 days and a monthly limit of £1400. I now have a shell card making its way to me through Diesel Price Guarantee who offer far better payment terms and unlimited purchases. We’ll see how they perform over the next couple of months.

got a call back from the guy who manages our account this morning…he knocked me another0.75ppl off…got it to 112.75 now…he said there is a supermarket price war going on & this is dictating the prices right now…can only be good new for all the owner operators & small firms out there.it will really help to keep your costs down…
first time in a long time i’ve seen diesel at 1.39ppl at the pumps…not seen the supermarket prices yet.

Me:" because you’re 5ppl dearer than my other cards!"

in the real world I’ve got , Smartdiesel 113.80, Shell 114.87 and BP( Fuel Card Services) 115.36
I’ve not used smart diesel for many weeks as the prices were too high.
I recently shopped around and got additional cards which are consistently cheaper.
Morgan (key fuels) is at 112.16
CPL Petroleum (uk fuels) 111.87
Fuelmate (uk fuels) 112.35
SMart 113.13
its worth having a look around for other alternatives
