Depends on your account manager, some are good [very rare atm], some are crap [mostly atm], they take in your credit rating, they also look at your volumes & payment record [FFS do not bounce a payment], I reckon they also have a note on your file as to whether you are decent to deal with etcā¦
You just got to play them at their own game, and have a fair few cards in your wallet, don`t be loyal to one card or they will have your pants down [IMO]

They do make me laugh though these card sharks, you have the sales side pushing you to use their card and bang the litres through, then you get the credit departments getting all moody and wanting you to hold back although you are miles off your credit limit
