Fog lights in snow

Oops missed the first line of the above post

It’s getting to be an endemic problem on the UK roads, and to be honest it’s individuals both male and female to whom quite clearly don’t have a clue about lights and there effective use in differing conditions on our roads. A classic example are the FLF’s ( Fog Light Fannies,) the selfish car driver’s( it’s nearly always cars) that are quite happy driving along mainly motorways/dual carriageways with their main beams on dazzling every other road user they pass. It’s time the the authorities tackled these issues, maybe a campaign of enforcement is required with offenders being stopped and fined, as with this kind of action and the publicity it would generate it would maybe go some way to altering driver behavior. Personally in my opinion it’s of more annoyance to me than say someone speeding by me at 80-90mph on a motorway, but who are the police likely to stop and fine?? Happy Days

They need more officers in traffic cars, as do the streets need more bobbies on the beat.

Scania drivers also enjoy driving with their fogs on when theres no need

Ah,drivers with Fog lights on everyone knows how to switch them on,but none of the tw**s know how to switch them off.

Trev H is spot on.It is very rarely you need other than dipped headlamps.

I am currently recruiting a team of bulb pinchers…
once we are active, we will be going round every vehicle in the country, and removing all the rear fog light bulbs… that way the people who insist on using them will still be able to see a little orange light on their dash and be blissfully happy, while the other 99% of us will also be happy because we aren’t being dazzled by these eejits…
membership will be free, just supply your own balaclava and screwdrivers, you will also be richly rewarded with a huge supply of bulbs…
O.K. who wants to join us ā– ā– ?
