I have a special household fridge so I don’t need to take the coolbox home…
Will you be making a special video blog about it?
I s’pose you also have a special limper style carrier bag to transfer your stuff from home to the truck?

When I handed in my notice at my last job a couple of months ago, gaffer phoned me to try and talk me into staying. He tried to offer me the new gigaspace actros he has coming beginning of September if I stayed. Apparently it’s got full leather interior, light bars, air horns, pearlescent paint, TV, Microwave and a fridge in it. Told him as a day shift driver, most of those extras would be wasted on me, so I would be willing to stay for a substantial wage increase and I’d keep my current truck. I started the new job so you can guess what his answer was.[emoji23]Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Or something genuinely useful such as a cab cooling system indipendent of engine/air-con.Think of the fuel costs too?

- No, I have nothing to carry between the truck and home. Truck stuff stays in truck, home stuff at home. A revolutionary idea I think you’ll agree
A limper style bag refers to a lidl/aldi carrier bag, often favoured by our temporary staffing brothers and sisters.
I can only assume Pierre was using out of date information, either referring to your early days as a casual at Bulls, or the fact those are the main supermarkets you had available during your euro trucking days
Ah, that explains that! No carrier bag but when I was in different trucks everyday I used a fancy aluminium pilots case. Got to keep up appearances. Now I’ve set my lorry up with everything I’d need to go wherever whenever at a moments notice

Aluminium pilots cases, a brace of FH16’s… You’ve changed Luke. Your YouTube fame has gone to your head, you come across all trucking godly
You should be glad I lower myself by coming on here and interacting with you peasants.
Blimey, I’m starting to sound like Conor

Theyll get it back off corp. Tax. Half of them probably have shares in kelsa anyway like ■■■■ lomasPleanty of idiots willing to drive a big v8 for 200 quid a week less. cough MVH cough so don’t see why this is much different
i drive for lomas all the lights come as standerd some go over the top like a mate at gibsons spent a lot of money on his then left onley got half is money back
I don’t think you really need to spend a fortune to attract drivers with light bars and the such. But i do think you would get plenty of applications to drive something a bit different from the norm. I’m sure the O/P would love to get behind the wheel of this beauty■■?

I was referring to your (frozen/chilled/ambient) provisions to sustain you through the week, or do you arrange for a supermarket delivery direct to the truck at a pre-arranged rendezvous?

Dunno about the OP, but Id love to have a wheel around the block in that. Or a bash up a motorway if the drivetrain is a good
un. But look at that wheel base: I wouldnt want to manoeuvre it around some of the premises we regularly go, or the roads leading to
em. And when it was time to wash it off, and polish the tanks, I`d happily hand the keys back.

I still have nightmares about that lorry Chris. It drove me to the edge of sanity.
Mind you the whole batch drove poor Clarance over the edge.
Was nice to drive other than when the dash wasnt lit up like a Christmas tree De rating or best of all shut down and refused to restart in South dakota at -25

Amazingly I find time to go to the supermarket during the week. What with me spending at least half the week delivering to Tesco stores.
