If you’ve never used it before it will first display a date with the time 00:00 asking was this ‘End of shift’? Select ‘yes’ then ‘U.K.’ This is just for the first use. It will then display the current time as ask ‘start of shift?’ At this point you would enter a manual entry to show any working time used before the card was entered.
Is this the case for all new cards and tacho makes, have never used my card yet but need to on Wednesday
Yes. Put the card in, it’ll say ‘Manual entry?’. Use the up and down arrows on the right of the unit to select yes. Then it’ll display a date with the time 00:00 and ask ‘End of shift?’ Again, select yes. Then it’ll show you the current time and date and say ‘start of shift?’ If you want do a manual entry for the start of tomorrow’s shift that is the time to enter it.
