They keep pestering me with “we’ve seen your CV on the jobcentre site and we have lots of work”
Anyone dealt with them? Do they have work or is it just the usual bovine excrement?
(looking at their website, the rates don’t seem to bad)

Not directly.
But the words ‘recruitment agency’ means they are liars and I wouldn’t trust them too far. Proceed with caution I’d say.
I has to involve the Employment Agency Standards Inspectorate to get paid by them, just for one day!
Master vendor on Yodel contract at Shaw/Wednesbury last time I worked for them,afternoon/night drivers get the most regular work, easy job I found.

I worked for First Drivers On-line at what is now Yodel Droitwich a few years ago and had nothing but problems, problems getting paid, problems getting holiday pay, problems with an idiot contract manager who put it down in the books that I had failed to show up for the job when in fact I was on a pre-booked holiday.
A lot of the drivers had problems getting pay-slips, I used to get paper pay-slips about every month or two but it didn’t affect me because I had pay-slips on-line every week anyway.
I have worked for First Drivers since through other agencies and still had problems getting paid, the argument has always been the same story that First can’t verify the work has been done in-spite of my card being downloaded and me having copies of run sheets, I’ve always eventually got what was owed to me but it’s not usually straight forward 
They do have good contracts at Droitwich and Wednesbury (I can’t comment on other contracts) but that’s about the only good thing I could say about them.
Also the area you’re talking about will have different managers so could be better, and as said if the job is at Yodel Shaw it should be regular work and easy enough.

Sounds like 1 to give a miss. Shaw is a bit to far from Leyland (even in a diesel car)
I just thought it might be worth a shout since its gone quiet, but it looks like things might be picking up slightly
I’m getting 2 or 3 days a week at Widnes (Stobart/Tesco) And it looks like I might be back on reasonable terms with TRG for Waitrose (which went quiet in Feb)
I’ve also been promised an Asda Induction sometime this month

They used to have a sort of transport spill over operation going on at Droitwich after the warehouse operation moved to Wednesbury, has that finished as well now ?

I did 4 weeks for Yodel out of Wednesbury over Xmas, nothing at all at Droiwich…used to work on the same estate a couple of years back and they were gone then.
There’s no harm in registering with them, and see what they got? If they ring you 4 or 5 times with crap work that you don’t want to do, the next time they ring tell them you’ve got a full time job now so won’t be needing them anymore.
Thats what I’ve done with quite a few agencies, I ordered a free SIM card from O2 and had an old phone lying around and gave them that number, that phone doesn’t get turned on until 9am, so nobody ringing me at stupid o’clock in the morning…

Last I heard, which was over a year ago, it was DHL who was operating on the site again, from what I was told I had the impression they were running more than one contract from the site, I believe one was for a clothing company but I’ve no idea who.
If I find out what contracts DHL are running from the site I’ll let you know 
They have one in bellshill.scott is the tube running it.doesnt pay the agreed rate.would rather scratch my nuts with a cheese gratter than work for them again

DHL are in that depot now, TKMaxx contract and a bit for Selfridges. ADR is the master agency, always advertising.
