Stravaiger, I visited the Ford Transit site you posted there’s brilliant stuff on there - interesting to see my old Transit (pics earlier on this page) on there too! I can’t seem to get the photo’s to expand which is a shame because there’s a 6 wheeler Transit police van in the gallery, that would be worth another look for sure.

Heres a shot taken in Cyprus 1997, the fireman that took the snap thought I was just another mad Brit when I asked him to take a photo of me pointing at the engine,but I couldn’t make him understand that was my initials and company name. I later saw quite a few municipal/local authority motors of this type on the island. It looks like a Rootes group cab.
