My mistake in original post , Authorisation was issued in 2005 so was in date , offence was for having it laminated

I was advised to get them laminated, to stop coffee spills + oily thumb prints from destroying the the bloody things :open_mouth:

And here`s me, thinking the EU is a level playing field :unamused:

as stated god knows how often things like this can be appealed and won and the easiest way to do this is employ an agent who pays all fines straight away and then automatically appeals them even those for which you are actually guilty, we get a fair amount of fines reimbursed every year.

Yes the EU is a level playing field that is why in the UK drivers are hauled up before the magistrate for minor offences :unamused: something that does not happen anywhere else

You would NOT end up in front of the beak for such a trivial matter in the UK, that`s for sure, infact, there would be NO “spanish practice” in the first place.

Level playing field means just that, EU law should be the same in every country, and VAT, and fuel costs, and labour, and insurance, and the cost of kit, which we all know, is cheaper for our “skint” brothers elsewhere, I could go on, but, I ain`t got the time :unamused:

so every one should pay the UK´s inflated rates ■■? not the foreigners fault that UK politicians have decided to fund their entire budget by milking the haulage industry now is it ?

I agree, we are part of a united europe, on the pretence, that we are ALL equal, funny how we [UK] are being fleeced by all and sundry. Nobody to blame but our good selfs, I`m afraid

Just beware of the others copying our government`s methods, as you say, road haulage can / does fund entire budgets here, so, why not elsewhere ■■?

I t has already started unfortunately and will probably carry on until someone somewhere realises that the reason that the population is starving is because there is no one left to get the ■■■■ stuff to the shops

I was stopped by RedCaps entering Spain at Irun November 2009.

After a 20 minute check I was fined as follows …

2500 for not recording journey in car 60kms to collect truck as other work

how did they know you drove 60kms in your car?
did they have spooks following you?
were they psychic?
or did you volunteer the “incriminating” information?
if they asked you why not tell them you were on your way to your normal place of parking?
