Take a couple of clicks off and relax. Take in the scenery, occasionally glancing down to your right, you never know you might just get a nice flash of leg from passing yummy mummy

I took your advice, and it bore fruit today: :stuck_out_tongue:

mmmm

as a car/van driver, these road works, i normally find a hgv and sit behind it, i find it a much better way of getting through the road works than dodging other vehicles…

must admit, the only bit that worries me is that i’m following a hgv, whats gonna go through their minds when they see the same car follow them for mile after mile… so i do generally change what I’m following as i go though them.

I would not be worried if you are following me through the roadworks.
If you were still following me once the 50 limit was lifted then yes I might be concerned.

For the novice there maybe a thought of a potential hijacking, normal behaviour would be to just go up and over a slip road or a bit of roundabout practice.

However when I used to hijack trucks we had 2 cars, one would follow close (the decoy) and the other would sit well back, if the truck realised the close one was following he would perform the sliproad, roundabout trick and we would call the decoy off to make the driver think he was being daft.

Then switch places, a third vehicle would then pull in front… hang on I better stop typing.

[Im makin this stuff up honest]

I had a tester for me today.
04.30 M4 roadworks section, the bit with 6’6" limit on the outer lanes.
Anyway im tootling through the pick and shovel limiter set bang on 80kph (50mph ish in old money), not another vehicle for at least half a mile, roadworks all to meself. Slip road coming up and catch a van in me wide angle view on the slip road well behind me accelerating.

Now to the novice one would expect the van to merge safely behind, oh no not this organ sack, instead it was a race to the cones. Now I have 3 instant options, 1 evade a collision by moving over into the restricted lanes, 2 brake / ease off to avoid aforementioned collision, 3 bollock it onto the slip road in front of him cutting his plan dead causing him to brake sharply then give him the horn + coffee beans as he passed and make a gesture to get on the hard shoulder for a fight whilst continuing up his arse through the remaining roadworks flashing lights and papping horn like a demented idiot…

I choose option 2 and even flashed the bugger in to remove all doubt, im such a ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– .

But I did give him a right dirty chunter to meself for the next minute or two…

:unamused: :unamused: soft lad
