Quality - 10/10 for the content. I fully understand the reasons for it but a very tame rant!! Not enough table thumping and swearing really, although I doubt the limited intelligence of most of them would help them to appreciate it anyway!!

So that’s 6 hours demurrage at £50 per hour, 300 bob to the Ginny FH16 fund for doing nowt?

Even with demurrage at the proper rate, you may lose your reload which will harm the firms rep and future earning potential, not to mention it can get boring.

Terrible rant. 3/10 at best - not enough swearing. In fact you leave me no choice to downgrade it to 2/10 as you wasted ample opportunity to launch into a rant about the paperwork taking another 4 hours to arrive after the 4 hours it’s taken them to FLT 26 pallets off.

2/10 “room for improvement”.

These delays at delivery points are always the drivers’ fault. If drivers demanded a proper pay rate, say, £25 per hour, time and a half after 8 hours, double time for nights and weekends, then managers would be a lot less cavalier with their drivers time. We are too bloody cheap! It doesn’t matter if we are left hanging around. It only costs peanuts. When you visit your solicitor, would you say, “I’m just going to take a nap for an hour or two. Leave the meter running”.

Luke, you should get in contact with TV company, make a series on how it is to be a real driver in the real world, i am sure it would be very popular,as you have mentioned a following by younger people who take an interest in what you are doing, how much is your appearance fee??

Rob swearing isn’t big and isn’t clever. I’m surprised an intelligent man (don’t laugh people) such as you thinks swearing is the only way to get your point across. So very disappointed.

Swearing is fine in the right situations and angry rants fall under that banner. Swearing every other word in normal conversation just shows a lack of intellect/vocabulary/education etc. Also, rants are way way more entertaining with some sweary bits :smiley: . The recent YT video of the car brake-testing plod in lane 3 of the M62 near Cas was a perfect example of this.

Ha cheers but to be honest in y opinion this is the age of the Internet! And with some effort it’s possible to get bigger audiences on YouTube than you would on TV, not saying I’ll manage that mind you but it’s fun trying

I doubt it, it the grand scheme of things I’m a nobody with a tiny audience. Look at some of the young bloggers on youtube with hundreds of thousands of suscribers

I did tesco avonmouth this week,2 1/2hrs to tip me,the rest of the week was tesco express,extra shop,never more than 45 mins to tip me,shop workers say if it goes over 1/2 hr to tip me they get a email from head office wanting to know why :unamused: .
I can now see why our lot wanted rid of chilled,hrs sat around waiting to be tipped /loaded or in and out within the hour :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation: .
Good video but I doubt it will make any difference,until the firms set a max time to load ,1/2 max and if not trucks coming out then firms will continue to take the ■■■■

Send your rant to the companies concerned, maybe the Chairman does not know that his
company are paying all this demurrage, and set about to find out why motors are being
held up on a timed delivery.
